I'm so excited that you're doing this table Fren! I was never able to get the VP9 one to run without script errors.

I fixed the pop bumpers. They work, but you can hardly see them being white on white. Beta 9 in sig. It's a color mod, so I suggest using a material with a contrasting color for the shaft of the bumper.

Well, Vp9's ball was just a squared imaged that moved around. The Vp10's ball is a 3d sphere which rotates. Now someone just has to come up with a nice image for it :) I tried to make something different for WOW and Nascar tables, see if you like it better :)

I already tried all tables and no, sorry, I don't like the illumination of the ball at all.

It has nothing to do with the image of the ball. I am talking about its illumination (reflections, etc.).

For sure it is technically an improvement from VP9 but the visual result is worst.

In VP9 the ball looks WAY more realistic (you have the feeling to actually play with a metallic ball), in VP10 it's too much "artifical", it looks like a mini plastic Christmas tree ball rolling with illumination on steroids.

It looks like it's more going to a beautiful (unrealistic) videogame than to the recreation of the real thing (as it's supposed to be).

flippo Maybe an option to have reflection on and off to the ball? or a slider with 0, 30, 60 and 100%?

I guess its to each is own. On a table like mr and mrs pacman, I think the 3d ball looks fantastic and way better than before.

Have fun testing Boomerang from Bally (1974). It's the 4 player version of 1975's "Flicker".

Can be played in DT and FS. B2S will be automatically activated in FS.

Hello Shockman,

Pac-man maze is still not working.

You must be using an older beta, or maybe a newer one. I don't know what version this build was made with, but it was the first after changing the pop bumper scaling. I'll check the new beta of VPX today.

I just tried the latest beta and it prompted me to take the table off drop box.

For one thing the ball looks huge and it is only 51.

But, all the lights seem to have been changed to fog emitters

Modulation of 1, where there is just light and no haze does not seem to be working.

Anyway I have to see if there is something I can do. I'll get it back up when the lights are fixed.

this was a temporary change (modulate clamping to help with the day->night slider), will be back to normal with the next build to be released (if not give me a shout).

Thanks for the quick answer. I will relax and wait then instead of trying to adapt it.

This would make anyone panic new_t.jpg

Well, all my WIP tables have some exaggerated gi lightning, mostly because I wanted to show the effect that can be done and make the authors aware of it. Reducing the value of the "Bloom Strength" will make it look more natural.

:hmm: :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: :hmm:

Personally I think it just needs some shadowing on the bottom for it to look more "real" but the detail and reflections are astounding!

@Shockman

In DT Pac-maze is working, in FS it's not.

I thought you made it foggy on purpose  :P

Oh. I just confirmed that on my system. I don't think there is anything I can do about that. It's the same game. The saucers don't show up either in FS, unless that has been fixed. I made them invisible and use the ones drawn on.

Same thing happened to wow monopoly. Thanks for the quick answer, Toxie.

I have only tried vp x on my desktop Win 7 pc up until now. I see that I chose the wrong moment to try it on my xp cab ;)

Btw. I am getting som vpmame hiccups on my cab. Sentences and fx in roms are often repeating themselves before moving on. Is this typical if my system is too low-end and that I should reduce quality in my video settings? A couple of tables go a little slow but this also happens on tables that otherwise plays smoothly and plays great (most of them)

I am using ... vpmame from other site on my cab. Not ready to change that yet but I have a feeling that this is not the problem?

I have just discovered that the Field Of View has to be at least 3 for the maze lights to work.
