When launching Unit3D Pinball.exe by double clicking the exe in Windows explorer, I just get this:

Extractor
(X) Impossible de trouver le chemin spécifié.
OK

Then a small, blank window with "Extractor" in the title bar. Closing this closes the entire application.

Are you running on XP? We did not test and I think we will not support it anymore (as did Microsoft :)): really long to test/maintain on every system, really sorry.

I do have this too and I'm running Win 8.1. Looks like this isn't a XP behaviour. I have removed the U3D folder and unzipped the whole package and tables once again but the error message is still popping up. Any ideas?

Had it one time and the tmp folder within unit3d was missing. Dont forget to go on properties on the extractor.exe and check that the file comes from a different computer ...

Thanks man, it's the tmp folder. Don't know when it happened but the tmp folder was removed. This happened on two PCs so I'm sure the folder wasn't removed from me.

Okay, am I the only person left that can't get this to run? I'm on Windows 7. Installed the app, and I can open it once to get the black screen where it says compiling scripts, and then it makes a "thunk" sound and crashes. When I go back into the directory the "tmp" folder is gone. I have to recreate it every time in order to get it to launch again, but always the same error. I am testing the IJ table which I have extracted under the tables folder. All of the files that were packed in the RAR are unzipped in there. I have the game rom still under the VPINMAME rom folder as it's working there already with VP. Do I have to copy the ROM to the tables folder in Unit3d too?

Also, the documentation was written a year ago, and since then there is a newer unified pinmame .dll with unity already built in supposedly. Do I still have to do any setup if I already have the unified dll working and installed?

Thanks!

No, you aren't the only person left that can't get this to run. You just have to wait for next release like all of us . Devs are working hard to release new version that is compatible with your/our pinmame .dll , from what i understand they had to redo the tables  from scratch and a new ones plus bug fixing, documentation, reworked flippers physics and added Dof support plus these guys have day jobs.

My advice is Keep Calm and wait, its going to be well worth the wait , play with your other toys in the meantime. :juggle:

So I'm not insane? I had unit3d up and running at one point. When I tried to reinstall it from scratch I couldn't get it working again. So the alpha version isn't working now? Did something break recently since it used to work?

Make sure that all EXE's and DLL's are UNBLOCKED. Right click each of them for both UP and VPMAME and select properties, then unblock. This may not be your problem but I forget to do this all the time and it cause a bunch of issues.

You guys have done a fantastic job! My only worry is performance on my amd video card. Since this is phsyx based im assuming this will be Nvidia biased?

Actually, we both have NVidia's cards, that's right. But the PhysX part is not in our hands, but in Unity's implementation...

Thanks for kind comment ;).

Well if you guys get your physics to be as good as VP's, then I may have to come to the dark side ;)

Great demo! It seems that you solved the problem with the disappearing ball at high velocities the last alpha suffered from!? :)

A job well done! Stunning!

:otvclap:  :otvclap:  :otvclap:  :otvclap:

Cant wait to install this on my almost finished cabinet and give it a test run!

I also donated a (very) small amount on your site, realy cant miss much atm tbh, but this is one of those projects that are worth funding.

On your site you mentioned that the beta is soon.....but... what is soon?  :)  For me, soon is tomorrow  :)

btw, if it helps... the 15th is my birthday

Any plans to have back glass support for cabinet users? Not B2s but in engine?
