I found something : if I use the old pinemhi version (quite old, the ini files were not splitted), it does not crash !

Hi xio,

I suspect it has something to do with exiting VP9 so I made a slight adjustment to the ahk part.
Could you test it out.
use the 1.5 version and after that extract the zip to the folder , overwriting one file.

Let's see if this does the trick.....

Thx for trying to solve this issue. Unfortunately, same crash with this updated Start file.

Maybe you can send me all versions so I can try them all and tell you exactly on which version the problem appear (must be 1.4 or 1.5, these crashes begin on december accordingto windows history) ?

All these games use the new method of finding the rom....if vp9 didn't crash before it has something to do with the nvram-directory.....last accessed file is being used to find it.....
It could be that there is no write access of some sort....or that the program has no rights in that directory....

ced .... it didn't take you long to get 2nd place ..... although xio cant play some atm.

and I still cant crack 300 ...... I start to see some 1st place disappear more often now

eventually I will switch to fs, when I get time to set it up, but for now you keep me busy with your scoring.

I would test vp9 for 2 days and it's very hard.

Just 2 minutes too late on the challenge....but what a score .
Destroy time is a thing i still have some work on.....
Could you send me the nvram perhaps ?

Hi all,

We managed to get the problems haunting xio sorted out (kinda)
One thing that kept him getting no game played on the oldies ( dolly parton, space invaders , rolling stones , silverball mania) was the fact that windows 7 has file lastaccess timestamp disabled.

So anyone having trouble with the above should look here for a solution
Turning on file lastaccess timestamp

This tells you how to turn on llastaccess timestamp...

Well.....I guess I screwed something up:

I downloaded the 1.5 update, and although I had to re-enter my code and type in my paths again (overwrote the wrong file?), everything looked normal and I submitted four scores from VP8 Jack*Bot---but they didn't show. So, knowing that VP8 Attack From Mars is one of those that do connect, I submitted two scores---and they didn't show, either. Is there something hinky with these two, or with VP8? Or, should I just DL again.

On second thought, are the submission times GMT? If so, the last score submitted was almost six hours ago; maybe the site is down for maintenance or something, so I'll just kick back for a while.

But I think you have downloaded the full version instead of the update.
Otherwise the pinemhi leaderboard.ini shouldnt overwrite on unzipping.

There is a chance that you made a typo in your name or code ...as this gets checked....if it doesn't check out the score is just discarded.
If you still have the PM with the code I would suggest checking that one (using copy paste to make sure it's ok).
Will be checking to see if i submit a score but that may take a while before I can do that... maybe someone else will submit a score in the meantime....

I'm assuming that the rest worked fine , submitting score page and all but you couldn't find the scores on the hiscore page....

I just sent in a test score for Jack*Bot and it was accepted so I think the site/server is working at the moment. Also I belive the time stamps for scores are in alpha time. (ie. European)

Yep, Servertime is GMT +1 (The Netherlands)
That's why I put the servertime in the challenges so people can see how much time they still have to complete them.
