Better with a numeric setting, then the user can set their prefered level of darkness

My birthday is Feb. 26th.  I'm not saying that is any sort of a deadline or anything, y'know, I'm just mentioning it. (feeling excited).

Yes you do,  I could be wrong but I thought I remembered 85vett doing the physics for it since he owns a real BOP.  There were a few bugs with the physmod version that were never resolved, the main one being the ball could get stuck on the switch at the top of the heart ramp causing the ball to get stuck spamming the switch.  The other bugs with BOP physmod were just cosmetic, like a hard shot to the heart ramp would make the ball by pass the zig zagging and just go more or less straight down, and another where the ball drops down from the pinbot upper PF plastic and goes through the plastic wall.  It's still playable and when you know about the ball stuck bug you can make efforts to avoid it so that's the version I use since the flipper control is nice.

The editor is very simple now...there is only one big button "Create awesome-mindblowing table" and voila :D

May be not that simple but this VP10 stuff is going to help me out a lot. And by a lot I mean a big, big, huge, a lot.

I've spent more than 70 hours, just to try to draw the two lightning bp's (lights off and lights on) and when I see the pathetic result of it, and the off one not even completed yet, I want to cry. And by crying I mean a lot. I'm not talking about ambient lightning stuff done with paint/gimp/.... that I'll just skip actually.

Creating a table, yep, ez-mode

Scripting events, sure, I'm IT after all

Artwork, coloring, shading, litgthning, nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Great work all

Nid

Maybe this is not too far fetched actually, not to mention a lot of fun a " Random Table Maker button " ( for EM tables only of course )

Unless you try to do it on a single display, like the older B2S worked...

Here is a small preview how the new VP10 default table looks like. It will show you how to work with the new features and is also a small resource library for some common used primtives. Thanks to UncleWilli for building this thing

Awesome job guys. 2015 will be a great year for VP. As far as jaggies go, how much will VP 10 reduce or elimate them? I assume VP wont be fully 3D yet but eventually will in later versions.

I can't see any jaggies so far but that depends how much dynamic elements you throw onto a table and how much polygons are used and what kind of graphics card you use. VP10 is fully 3D but there are pre calculated/static meshes that won't let you fly over a table like in TPA.

The default table is nearly done with in-house elements. The walls, spinner, bumpers (except the caps), triggers, rubbers and kicker are default VP elements without the need to import any primitives.

Over time we might move to full/dynamic 3D, if performance allows for it, and then even such things as dynamic cameras might become a reality..

As for jaggies: We still have this weird bug that we cannot activate MSAA natively from within VP (flickering). But i think you should be able to activate it from within the graphics properties (NVPanel, etc), so this should not be an issue. Apart from that there is still FXAA in VP like in VP9.9.X.

You mentioned we should be getting a beta within the next month or two, When do you estimate a final version might be released? Will it happen in 2015?
