I'd prefer to update my own mods if that's o.k. There are some quick gains with things like additive alpha changes for the flashers, if nothing else, that will make it look better with minimal work but a bunch of other things I'd like to do or at least consider doing. Also, the way I did the lighting with GI8 / PS drawn and not using alpha style GI ramp / flasher lighting will not lend itself as well to the current techniques you're using or will conflict and darkening the various lighting levels I drew in this fashion just will not look right as it will also darken the "lit" areas and make it more unnatural. I don't know if any updates I may be able to muster will be for VP99 or if I'll wait for VP10 as I'd like to update physics at the same time but not make it on the unofficial branch with the PhysMODv5 stuff. However, they will be done at some point but real life and health issues at the moment are not making it terribly condusive for me to churn out now or in the immediate future.
JP's original is obvioulsy fair game / an option but please let me update these few GI8 / BMPR mods I did and when it works into my real life, which isn't really at this particular moment.
