so has anyone got the actual metric cut out size in the cab for a pin led board

Just curious..should this thing do anything w/o the driver board? Like flash the LEDS or anything? I wired mine all up to verify it works and it does nothing.

Also...in looking back through the thread, I see multiple versions of the LED board. Here is mine (Vishay - Orange) It appears to be different than Arcades' orange. (NM I see mine is like Hackers)

you power the actual dmd off your pc psu or what ever 5v source u want (i wouldnt advice usb as this can only supply 500ma and these displays want like 2amp)
the pinDMD gets it power from the usb connector

im adding the 14-way data cable with each board coz im nice (and bought loads lol)

Do you think one of these might be ok to power dmd:
Coolerguys 110v AC to 12 / 5v DC 4pin Molex 2A Power Adapter

It's only 14.95 and will do 2amp. If it would work, it maybe an option for anyone that doesn't want to hack a PS cable. I picked one up to do my cab fans.

no the board needs to be sent the image data for it to display any thing so just turning it on it will be totally dead!

there are a few types of dmd board out there so dont worry if it looks a bit diff they all do the same thing

i think that would be ok, 2amp should be enough!
just double check that the connectors are matching the v5 line not the 12v
your vishay wants 5v

did a final test on each board before i packaged it

did not realise how much effort goes into packing like 26 little jiffy bags lol
luckily had my brother to help hehe

install the ftdi drivers BEFORE the VPinMAME.dll

I placed the pcb + assembly order few days ago for the second batch
just waiting for my last few components to turn up then ill be sending them to china for assembly.

hopefully this batch should be ready in 3-4 weeks

its the .hidden=1 for enabled or 0 for disabled its generally under the cgamename rom portion of the script
