I have a question, if i may....on medieval madness for the ps3, is the left flipper SUPPOSED to be slightly lower than the right one??? Also, has anyone noticed that the ramp switch for the damsel does not switch like it should for the first and second damsel award???? Can somone please send these issues to farsight that made this for release???? I have not been able to find the way to send this message to them!!!!!

Thanks,
Richard.

The first release of MM didn't have Troll Bombs either. Pinball Arcade are running before they can walk. These tables require more time in development.

I think that is the address to send this too. I've noticed this too though & I think I mentioned it. I'm guessing they did this on purpose cuz their real machine might have done this. However, I don't think any machines are intended to have uneven flippers like that in terms of start angle, & if a flipper is hanging down like that I don't know why people don't just fix it. They should ideally always be level with the inlane.

Yes I do think the damsel thing has been noticed before by others, but it might be worth letting them know again.

Maybe. However you also got everybody else throwing fits that things aren't coming out even faster, & I'm talking total shit fits if there is any sort of delay. So FS is obviously pressured, they want to please everybody but it is hard these days. So they figure just get the tables out, make everyone happy, then bug fix later. Which at least they have done a good job at fixing bugs.

That said, I do think they have some crap beta testers. I blame their testers who are supposed to be finding issues like this. No way should I be finding bugs on my 1st ball after I download a table... that somehow missed the eyes of all the people they have testing. No excuse for that. I think if they get better beta testers the rest might take care of itself.

they also need to test useing the real games and the VP vers of the tables.

also being able to get to the test / coin door menus can help with switch tests and reading the errors that come up.

One of theguys who have beta tested PA mentioned on toucharcade that the release version is not always the last beta tested version. Of course that's not how things should work but we are talking about a smaller studio with a small budget selling games under 10 bucks, so short cuts are taken and guesses aren't always right. I forgive them, great game even with its bugs. Hopefully things will get better though, as it should.

I finally was able to purchase the next 4 TPA tables for ps3, total of 8 now. This batch seems more rushed than the first set of 4. I saw no improvements in quality, if anything, this batch has less quality. They seem darker, the flippers still lag compared to Zen, still can be fun to play, but I was hoping for more.

On the other hand, the 4 new Marvel tables were fantastic. Zen has this video pinball business down to a science. The flippers are very responsive, the animation is out of this world and I like the gameplay.

My ratings still stay the same. Zen 9/10, VP 7/10, TPA 5/10, FP 3/10. My ratings are based on my overall fun factor, your ratings may vary due to head trauma at birth. smile.gif

I'd give Bride of Pinbot alone a 2/10. There's some sort of bug that makes the view go completely wonky... next thing you know, you're trying to play using the plunger cam. As a company, I'd give Farsight the same 2/10 rating. Buggy tables, late releases (for PS3) or no updates (for Xbox), having to beg for money... it really makes the whole project seem slipshod.

I never had that bug, though I only played BOP once or twice so far on PS3. Never had the problem on android or IOS though.

All I care about is tables. If they are buggy so be it. I'm only paying $2 or $3 for each, so I'm just happy that some company is doing recreations at all. Like I said, at least they do get around to fixing most bugs. My hope is that as time goes on they get better at what they are doing.
Same with all of us here. How many times do authors here release a perfect table with no bugs? Yeah we aren't getting paid, but still, its tough work sometimes & so many areas where things can go wrong. Its hard to find a VPM table that doesn't have a single bug out of the many hundreds of them.

@Bob, you should try the game on IOS. Especially Funhouse, & most definitely Gorgar & Monster Bash in terms of physics alone. I didn't play much but I think Funhouse might also be pretty solid on PS3. I just hope PS3 continues to get the good physics that IOS is now getting, in the gorgar/MB pack. That should really blow you guys away.
With those few tables I think without a doubt the gameplay has at the very least equaled if not surpassed what VP can do. So on your list, just ranking physics & visuals, I'd probably put Zen in a tie with TPA at 8/10. Speaking of Zen, just yesterday they released an update that included retina support for my iPad3. The visuals are now just stunning on that bad boy. Damn near what you see on the consoles & at an even higher resolution. wow. Zen is a little arcadey, but still pretty sound physics, & it is good that they seem to be getting real good & consistent at what they do. Hoping TPA gets there in a couple years as well with the cleaner releases & consistency.

Then last night Fantasitc Four came! I had played that on my android tab so I wasn't as excited as most to play it, but damn the retina graphics breathed new life into it anyways & I'm starting to think that table just might be the best out of all of them in terms of design.

One thing that happened with the retina update is that they forgot to set things like the buttons & DMD to scale with the new resolution. So now the DMD is super tiny, so I went into settings & set it to large which helped quite a bit. & the buttons are tiny too, but I'm happy to deal with that til the bug is fixed.

I love TPA and not so fond of Zen, but you may be right. Tables are so uneven, MM is plain weird, they apparently don't playtest things before they publish them anymore...and I showed them a glitch in Funhouse which destroyed gameplay and allowed you to rack up points into the hundreds of millions if you cared, but they haven't fixed it in TPA. This is just stupid.

Yeah I would have to put Zen on the end of my list as well. Zen just doesn't feel like a pinball game to me, more like a video game. Theres hardly any music changes when targets are hit. The same tune drones on no matter what targets are hit most of the time. I dunno, its ok when I need a break from the other pinball stuff. VP does a good job of simulating that real pinball machine experience when i'm just not feeling it with Zen.

If the player is too dumb to flip, then yes that happens on the real thing.

The reviewer has no idea how to play pinball and just thinks you're supposed to launch the balls like pachinko.
No switches are activated after the initial launch so the auto ball save is activated.

The kid posted a review saying it was the worst game ever because you basically plunge balls and then watch them
fall and that's it. He's an idiot and everyone has been making fun of him for it all week.

worse than the kids that just pound on the flippers or flip both just about all the time.
