I think the server is having some trouble , hopefully they'll fix it soon...
But it's not one of the best providers I'm afraid...

Yeah, some scores show , then others dont ....... maybe ced broke the server with his scores again laugh.gif

The lotr doesn't show destroy ring time, only that it was achieved.

Bit happier now .... destroyed in 16 seconds.

The server??

Geez, I just spent the night trying to rebuild my system!

It was only uploading My Low Scores!...

seriously though, would it be possible for the program to receive an score submit upload confirmation before dumping the score and offering a new game?

Nope , it could be if it acted like a client server type model but it doesn't....
I don't program for a living , just for fun and trying to get that working would be a whole new adventure...
And adventures like that cost a lot of time ... rolleyes.gif

Ok , I managed to get that working but the program doesn't get the time right when submitting to the database so I need to alter that.
I set it manually for you (39.45 on that 208M score).

I'll take a look at it to get it working properly....

You definitely should use a fresh one....i think that's hard to beat even by yourself...
16 sec that would be hard to beat by anyone.....
Is this the fastest completion in the hiscore thread now .?

Hopefully with the next update it will be fixed (not the right time).....

Look likes you're going for a new crown.....5 minutes is too much , i should have made it 10 seconds then we (not so skilled players) would have had a chance. Worship.gif

@Dedrok

Very strange but I just submitted one and the time was now correct.

If you like you can try and go again for the destroy-ring time.....I would like to see how the data comes across.
If it's a good one but the time is mangled up again I can always place it in manually if you provide the nvram.

It's possible to destroy the ring in 16" ????
The main objective of the game is to light and start three multiballs, each of them coupled to one of the movies of the trilogy, and to finally "Destroy the Ring"
That would make about 5 second per multiball to light & start, I think I miss something unsure.gif

Destroy The Ring times from starting the mode to ending the mode. The Movie Multiballs need to be played beforehand for the mode to even light.

Here's exactly how it works:

"This is a three-stage mode. First, the ball will be returned
to play, and the four Ring shots (left ramp, inner orbit, right ramp, right
orbit) are all lit. Each must be collected, to the tune of 1M, 1.5M, 2M and
2.5M. Now, the Ring re-lights. Shoot it for 3M, and it will grab the ball
and hold it while the game autoplunges a new ball. For the final stage, you
must knock the captured ball out of the Ring. Doing this will destroy the
Ring (and poor Gollum), scoring 5M points, and cause the machine to go nuts
in celebration as both balls drain (you get your ball back)."

So left ramp, inner orbit, right ramp, right orbit, Ring, Ring. That's all you need. Technically, that should be possible in less than ten seconds.

Even more so on the real machine, since:

"It is possible to win Destroy the Ring early, if the shot to
the Ring after the initial four shots is strong enough to go THROUGH the ring
without being grabbed - this immediately ends the mode successfully. It is
also possible to get both balls stuck in the Ring - if this happens, a
ballsearch will drop both, and if either drains, you lose the mode. Not
good. Usually, things work as intended."

Not sure if the VP magnet is perfect or not, since it not being perfect could make an even faster playthrough possible.

Also, since I can finally play VP9 again, I'd say hook a brother up with this program-thingamagoo. I got some high scores to make.

Finally had to think about it, but here goes .... Finish all 3 movie multiball modes ..... shoot ring to start destroy ring mode ...... in sequence, no stopping, shoot right ramp then left loop then left ramp then right loop then the ring ........ mode finish collect 5M
I think that was the sequence, happened so fast I couldnt believe it or remember the shot sequence.

The McD

From reading the rules and watching some comp vids, factory setting is thru the ring once finishes and hardest settings is thru the ring twice to finish.

I notice that sometimes the thru ring shot doesnt pay, and has to be shot again, in any mode.

So 16 sec was 2nd time straight thru no stopping .... so subtract the time from ring to flipper to thru ring again from 16, and thats about as fast as it can get.

Hrm - couldn't get it to work so far. Played three games (AFM, WW and TOM) and all three ended up giving me the "No Game Played" error.

This is my INI:

CODE
// INI-file for pinemhi leaderboard.....................made by Dna Disturber

[path]
VP9=C:\Games\Visual Pinball\VPinball912.exe
VP8=C:\Games\Visual Pinball\vpinball_8.1.exe
nvram=C:\Games\Visual Pinball\nvram\
tables=C:\Games\Visual Pinball\tables\

[user]
name=TheMcD
code=The code, copypasted from the PM

[Misc]
splash=1
tweet=1

I boot up the program and select my table. It boots up VP9 and the table, I put in credits and play one game. After the game, I wait until I see "Game Over", then press Escape. Then it throws up that error.

The McD

EDIT: And just now it worked again. This seems to be a pattern I'm running into. First VP itself suddenly works again, and now this suddenly works.
