This table is a vicious reminder that I absolutely fuck up multiballs.
Wait what?
You can't do multiball?

Sorry that was not polite, but i mean that is just

But ok, the trick to doing multi ball is
well, you gotta get green.
No not a little green, i'm talking

And it will take some work you you will need to practice

Hey buddy,

It working on my cab with no problems. Have you tried deleting the NVRAM?
The only small issue I am having is the volume is quite low through my cab. Anyone know the trick of adjusting volume on this Data East table?
wait scratch that will not work
Are you familiar with MAME as in arcade games?
PinMAME works the same way
run setup and use the test function and start this ROM
keys 5 and 1 should coin up and start the rom
the ~ key will bring up the slider menus
arrow up or down to move between sliders
left and right to increase/decrease
try upping the volume on some of the audio channels

If a given table has a ROM that just has inherently low audio, and you can not do much with out distorting the ROM audio then do this
Open the table in the editor
Find the table sounds that are too loud, not all of them are going to be overpowering
Export USING NAMES the offending sounds, then delete them from sound manager (Yes Delete)
Now save the table (Yes Really)
Now load all the sounds you exported into audacity, yea all of them at the same time
(audacity is free, just google it for a free download)
Now with all sounds loaded, press control A to select all
Then click effects, and pick normalize
set the normalize amount to be about -6dB
apply that
then click file and export and multiple
Export all the sounds, to a new folder if you like
Now back in VPX in the sound manager, click import, and point at the folder you exported from audacity to
now select all the files and import them back into VPX
Since you exported from VPX USING NAMES, you will not have to worry about adjusting the script
Now test your table
If the sounds are too low, or still too high, close table, without saving, and reopen
Go back to audacity that is still open
Undo the normalize, and then either normalize to a lower amount if still too loud, like -9dB
or if it was too much, try normalizing at -3dB
Then export them out of audacity, import into table again and test.
When you are happy, save the table.
Then zip up and save your modified sounds you made in audacity.
(you will see why in a sec)
Why is this good over adjusting the sound volumes in VPX one by one?
If i update that table, you have to redo all those volumes one by one, or you just dont update.
But if you edit the sounds, then all you have to is
put in my updated table, remove the sounds from it that are in your adjusted sounds zip you saved, and import your adjusted sounds
and presto, done.
The sounds dont take up much space, generally on a ROM table, the amount of sounds requiring adjustment is not very large
If VPX had a way to export an audio "POV" that would be even better, but it does not.
Yet.

@BrandonLaw I saw you uploaded a score. Did the nvram reset fix it for you ?
That score has been there, mate. I deleted NVRAM...played a game to 3m and even let it get past the 'continue' rotation in the ROM....exited...nada.
Weird.. did the nvram save at all / get recreated?
Maybe it just needs the usual table exit routine in the table script, but no idea why it would work for me and gp without it. Something like;

Maybe it just needs the usual table exit routine in the table script, but no idea why it would work for me and gp without it. Something like;
Sub Time_Machine_exit()Controller.Pause = FalseController.StopEnd Sub(i haven't tried that code!).. oh, and i'd keep the volume low on this one - the callouts are just annoying!
The nvram isn't writed for me, so a pinmame issue.
I added the code above, but still no luck.
I don't have time to play, but would be nice to figure this out.
I'm using "Time Machine (Data East 1988) 1.2 Team PP_Brian_mod" as table file
EDIT :
I paste the code in a class already ... Added it correctly and now it is working
As we say in NL "De man die alles kan"
@Scutters, your the man !
You should do more with your programming skills
I will remember this when checking tables that are not working
@BrandonLaw, maybe you can give this a try as well.

No excuses now then Mike, so i'm expecting 10m+ scores posting from you guys!
I have another excuse Scutters. So no scores for me the next days/(weeks?). I was just testing on my laptop (and even not on my crappy PC)

Oh, well in that case, he can make us breakfast!
I will have some black pudding, beans, and cook them until the sauce starts to congeal
some left over roast and vegetables, 3 duck eggs, a bit of bacon, some toasted muffins, or bread, some bangers, you pick which kind.
And a pint of dark
And then some tea after, i'm partial to earl grey, sugar or honey, no milk.
People say england has terrible food, i really want to ask them, exactly wtf did they eat?
That or they have a terrible idea of food?
