It's sony, and microsofts fault if you dont mind buggy code. Thats most likely the reason for the delay.

No, all arcade games take that long for approval. Zen's tables have the same lag time between iOS and Xbox releases.

Their main channel of communication is their Facebook page where they post numerous updates. Including what each month's new tables will be, when an update is submitted, or approved or even rejected. They have been very forthcoming with information there.

Nope, unfortunately the European/Australian release is taking Sony Euro forever to approve.

Hopefully soon.

For those not members of Farsight's Facebook page, it looks like PS3 table updates won't be available until the end of June. Worse news for Xboxers, since the Pinball Arcade updates are in some kind of Xbox Live limbo.

From the Facebook posting:

Here's a status update on new tables for our long-suffering console fans!

The first table pack (Medieval Madness and Bride of PinBot) will be released for the PS Vita on June 12th, and for the PlayStation 3 on June 26th.

The second table pack (Cirqus Voltaire and Funhouse) will be released for the PlayStation 3 on June 26th and for the PS Vita on July 3rd.

We have been having difficulty getting Microsoft to approve the new tables for the Xbox 360. The problem centers around a little-known Microsoft limitation of 4 MB on the size of the title update for the game code. We can package the data for each table separately, but the code for the new tables is larger than 4 MB and must be in the update. We have finally convinced them to grant us an exception, so we'll be resubmitting all 4 new tables tomorrow and rolling them out to you just as quickly as we can. We'll announce the date when we know it.

The European versions of the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita games will reach the end of their certification cycles this week. We hope to have dates to report to you very soon.

Thanks to everyone for your patience as we work to get these released- we know how frustrating it is to not be able to play these great new tables. We apologize if sometimes it seems we're slow on releasing information, but we don't want to give you a date that turns out later to be wrong. We do read every post, email, and rant.

Thanks again for supporting us!

havent tried cv on mine yet.
they are supposed to have an android update in the next couple of days to increase performance

I have the transformer prime, and it looks like crap on there to me. Looks like the phone version all stretched out to fill the tablet screen. Hopefully this update will optimize it for tablet devices but I doubt it.

Whirlwind is already coming, it was on their williams collection and they say it will be much better when it comes on the Pinball Arcade. Black Rose not sure but since theirs not any liscencing issues my guess is it will be on their someday. My requests are Earthshaker, Fishtales, Fire!, Family Guy, Spiderman, Tron Lagacy, Transformers, Xmen, and Jersey Jacks The Wizard Of Oz someday and i would be happier then a pig in mud.

This update has already come & gone. Honestly, not much of an update for me. It seems like it was mostly to help performance on some slower older phones. Didn't do much for my tablet.

I like android, but I must confess something. I spent a little more time with my brothers ipad2 yesterday. The game on that thing just looks & plays so much better. Pinball in general seems a little choppy & laggy on android devices. Meanwhile, the amazingly smooth play on ipad combined with the new post-processing visuals is leading me to go out & get an ipad like right now. Literally I'm leaving within an hour to get one. I'll likely get the new ipad (3). & if I liked it as much as I did on 2, then I would hope it plays every bit as good on 3 plus should look even better.

The difference between the 2 platforms is pretty huge. Now I can see why TPA is as popular as it is especially among ipad users, & of course consoles & soon PC. But I can also see why android users don't always rate the game so high. Though ranking the game is tough unless, like myself, you have a nice ipad to compare games on. That way you know what you are missing. Honestly pinball feels more like real pinball. Flippers feel better as well, the response time & smoothness is very impressive.

I'm not an apple fan, & likely never will be. But this is a case where 1 product seems to do really well in an area I value the most, so I'll bite on it. Now watch as soon as I buy this, TPA will become Tegra optimized with smooth performance on android. The bummer will be that I'll likely have to wait another week for new tables being on apple. But at least I get troll bombs & super skill shot on MM, & certainly some other perks throughout that should keep me busy during the wait.

FYI, on the ipad 3, the frame rate took a heck of a hit, which I think is the reason why the new post processing visuals are disabled by default. Of course, on the ipad 3 it's running at an insane resolution, so I am not surprised there are issues at the moment. I hope if they can't fix that issue that they allow the post processing to work on an ipad 3 in a lower resolution. Would lick that frame rate issue I'm sure (of course hopefully they will optimize it so it can run in higher res and with the PP set to "on").

I'll tell you Rob, never mind the post processing, the typical Pinball Arcade in ipad 3's highres will blow you away, it's so freaking clear!

Joe, i was thinking more along the lines of the consoles getting them and the Playstation Vita, and of course the PC when it comes out. And with the new consoles from Microsoft and Sony they should have even more power for thos games i'd hope.

I mentioned post processing, but actually wasn't there another update that actually updated graphics I'm guessing on all ipads? That was what I meant. TPA looked good on ipad2 when I tried it real quick when it first came out, but damn it just seems like things were taken up a notch recently. It is, no lie, like console quality even on ipad2 & I assume ipad1. So again, I couldn't wait to see what 3 would bring me.

Well, I got my ipad3. So I got to compare that with my ipad2 experience yesterday. Basically it is every bit as good & smooth, but wow does the game ever take full advantage of the retina display! I won't go into an ipad3 review but basically I wasn't sure if I wanted to spend an extra $100 on ipad3 over ipad2. Now I can say that, for what I do at least, it is surely worth it. After all these months of TPA on my android tablet & phone, with the tablet TPA just looking like a blown up phone version... this game on ipad3 truly was blowing me away like no device or game has in years.

Strange. On my Android tablet, it is Zen pinball that looks the best, better than TPA. On ipad, TPA seems to beat Zen pretty easily. It looks to me like Zen hasn't properly updated things to work well at the higher resolution, but I do wish I had tested Zen on the ipad2 to compare. As it stands now Zen is a little jagged looking. But with the upgrade I got in TPA, I'll gladly take Zen maybe taking a slight visual hit for now. As usual, you do get some pros & cons to both brands. Not 1 product does everything the best.

Post Processing. Since this is exclusive to ipad3, maybe the game really doesn't take much of a hit due to the retina display. Or it all balances out thanks to the newer hardware. Or maybe it is just that the latest hardware is capable to do this while the older pads can't. Either way, yeah it isn't very useful now, but they even say on the description page that this is kinda their first try at it. I still found it cool to at least be able to look at games with this enabled. Honestly to me it just seems like it puts the games into more of a night mode. Which I could do without. I kinda like being able to see the art & have things brighter. But it would be nice to mix things up. I would definitely use it more if it doesn't cause a performance hit, but like you said the game already looks spectacular to where it isn't that big of a loss if you can't enable this.

However, with PP enabled, that is damn near what the games felt like on android anyhow with the choppiness. Not quite that bad but you get the idea, I did find it somewhat playable but yeah not worth scrapping the perfectly smooth ball movement for. Though android does get that bad during multiballs & things, at times. So... TPA seems fine for my android phone, but those who will play it some on a tablet really MUST go for ipad if you can. Maybe they will even give tegra optimization to android tablets, however even if they do they need to find a way to smooth out that ball movement.
