Is any one using the rainbow mode? Cant remember if i even mentioned it. If you set the dmd to black it will cycle through all colours smoothly. Its personally my fav mode :)

Speed can be set using config tool

Looks like some posts have gone missing. I believe dstott had posted some values to colourize some of his rooms... would I really like to try some of those!

Think vpforum has had a restore? as its seemed to jumped back in time lol?

Any way....

Regarding pinballx, Tom has fixed it :) (thanks Tom)

Please replace the XDMD.dll and XDMDNative.dll with these ones

http://www.pindmd.co...nloads-v3/xdmd/

And it should spring life :) (works for me perfectly)

Regards

Russell Pirie

I just updated my dll's and restarted Pinball X and did not see it spring to life I'm afraid. I went into my setup and set Enable DMD to Yes and HidePinMAME to Yes. Still not showing up.

I'll take some time tomorrow and repost some of those.  If you have tables you are specifically interested in, I'll give you what I have for those.  I've been making my way through them and fine tuning the results, as the PinDMD3 looks quite a bit different than my previous LCD screen.

Kruge99 - Check these out.  I think they are what you are looking for.

Enable DMD to no. Hide pinmame should be no. use pinmame in frontend yes.

also you can with the game running press F1 and change your options (such as colors)

The fix was to stop it crashing. If it runs without crashing your a step further :) no output is most likely down to config settings. What does the pinDMD_log.txt say?

Can you drop this file in as well to enable detailed debug log.

Is there a way to play an animated GIF on the pinDMD3 like the one in my signature?  That would be pretty c00L if it could!!

Based on the feedback from jinxy I believe my problem to be pebkac. I will update my settings tonight and give it another try.

I am leaving xdmd to do tasks like this as that is what it was designed to do :) but it will only output in 16 shades at the moment. I am looking into getting full colour support soon.

wow, just got AMH and PinballX working fine with PinDMD3.  I just copied over the new versions of XDMD.DLL, XDMDNative.DLL to the PinballX install directory and PinballX worked fine.  I also just copied over the Dll's to Visual Pinball/UltraDMD dir.

I then got thinking and put a pinDMD_logo.ppm file in the PinballX direcotry and sure enough when exiting out of pinballx my logo got displayed.  This is great.

I can't get my logo to appear after launching AMH though (well sometimes it takes a while but sometimes it comes back)

Time to start working on animations.

after I run ultradmd /c I can't get my PinDMD3 to work with pinballx without first running a table and then quiting.

the pinDMD.dll will look for a pinDMD_logo.ppm file in the same folder as the process was launched when its deInit method is called.

what is AMH?

America's Most Haunted (table that uses UltraDMD)

anyway to have your ImageInit program take a parameter and display that file instead of the default logo ppm file.  Replacing the default program and running your program is kinda messy for displaying changing images.   I haven't figured out Xdmd yet.  any pointers or samples

You know what makes pinDMD work better in pinballX? When you actually put the pinDMD.dll in the pinballx directory! doh!

Thanks!

Yeah that file is kinda important.

EU orders update!
Looks like parts have finally cleared customz and i am just waiting for the letter they send so i can pay the fees so they can make delivery. Whole process takes soooo long :( only other option is to ship directly from the states but then you guys would get this head ache and large fees so i rather take that hit.

Hi Russ, so if we make an all black PPM logo file and put that in the same folder as the DLL file, this will enable rainbow mode when Visual Pinball exits?

Best Regards,

Kruge99.

Ah no rainbow mode is just for pinMame frames.

Once the game exits rainbow mode is disabled.
