That's all up to you! I have one of these and it handles everything I throw at it, with no problems on latest drivers

... after a complete restart of the cab it stoped working. I found out that my cam is not available and not shown in the device-manager, after a replug everything works fine but only with the new installation.

I have similiar problem.

I can restart computer and my cams works. But....

Then i shutdown computer, cams still get power and after i turn on computer, it hans on POST (don't start loading system). I have to unplug cams for while to load OS.

If i completly turn off power (pull plug from wall outlet) i starts normal.

I thins that problem is not in drivers or BAM. It is matter of cams firmware or bios. (If You can find in BIOS switch to turn off power for usb devices, then it may work better).

About FP window visible on load. I can't  do anything with this (or i should not). People working on FPlaunch try to avoid this problem a long time before it was BAM.

Maybe it would be easy to fix it inside BAM (i have access to "window handles of opengl windows"), but 2 programs should not try to do same thing in same time.

I agree. Seems to be a CAM-problem.

Isnt it possible to write a other FPLoader.exe for hyperpin, that hides oder minimizes the Editor-Window no matter what FPLaunch is doing?

If not i will use autoit and try to make a borderless ontop loading-screen.exe for the second screen. But the first sollution would be more elegant.

A short report:

To keep it as cheap as possible i bought an Amd FX 4100 with a very cheap MSI-Board and 4GB Ram. A Nvidia 440GT. And i have to say its enough. My Cab (2 screens running 1680x1050 and 1280x1024) runs very smooth. Average FPS are round about 100-130fps. The Ps3-CAM is capturing in 640x480 @ constant 30 FPS. Thats realy great. It makes a lot more fun to play the cab now. One more time A BIG THANKS to Rafal!

One question to Rafal, is it possible to make something like Auto-Gain? Increase or decrease the gain automatically until the face is recognized,

Glad that worked for you. What a strange resolution, too.. I had a 1440x900 monitor I almost used but decided against it for the sake of my sanity.

Yeah... it is a strange resolustion for a pincab, 1920x1080 would be much better. I wanted to keep it as cheap as possible, so i used all my available hardware i had. Maybe i replace it some day...

BAM update!

http://ravarcade.pl/...BAM_v0.8-33.ZIP

New, improved Kinect plugin.

1. Now traced is eye (not whole head). Left or right. You can choose.

2. New easy "3 points" setup. You have 3 ways to make "3 points" setup:

- Easy "3 points" low.   On screen is drawed checkerboard. Kinect camera is rotated down. If checkerboard drawed on screen is recognized. Then "3 points" setup is done.

- Easy "3 points" high. Same as "low", but checkerboard is drawn little different way.

If You put Kinect "low", almost at screen, You should use "low" version. (recomended).

If You put Kinect "high" for example on top of backbox - use "high" version.

- "3 points" - old version, as fallback.

Video of Easy "3 points":

Wow, very promising. I like the idea of kinetic camera vs the modding the PS3 cameras. Being able to use it on top of the backbox would be awesome as it could easily be hidden within a topper of some sort.

Backbox i "bad" place.

An camera will lost tracking, then You look down. Kinect is only little bit better than normal camera.

It best to put Kinect "low", before backbox.

Great update, thank you so much!

Can you face the Kinect down toward the screen to set up with the checkerboard option, and once it determines that location, can you face it up toward your face? I have a minicab now so it's shorter. Will it remember it's location and position if you do that?

Yes. It will remember.

You can do oposite thing:

1. Set Angle / Tilt - as You like.

2 Select "Easy 3 points":

- plugin will change angle, to make screen surface visible

- it it find checkerboard it will set "angle/tilt" back to previous value

BAM Update

- Simple PS3Eye : added "auto gain" options: "none"/"buildin drivers"/"BAM smart". Last one if face is detected to select "gain" level uses among of light on face (not on whole image)

- To menu "Table & Lightnig" added button "reset to DEFAULT".
