DNA is it possible to add ranks on the ladder with all hiscores of one player ? So I can see which table I have to work on to reach the insane DedRok !
Also, why is the PinemHi program window always staying on top ?

I see that more tables are on their way, great news ! cool.gif

About the ranks... That's a good idea because there are a lot of tables now...
Will be some work but i'll look into it...cups were also a lot of work but maybe i can use some of that programming to get the ranks..

Why it always stays on top ?
Well, it is the most important program that you're running of course pardon.gif whistle.gif

I had planned a few older tables...pre 1980 but ran into some problems with that.
In the scripts the dmd is hidden...so i can't tell which rom has been started and because of that i don't know which nvram to look into......
So i first have to find a solution for that....
Easy solution would be that everybody should set it to not hidden but not a nice and userfriendly solution.

I have a suggestion about displaying achievements like Ruler of the Univese. Would it be possible to make it a single score per name list counting the number of submissions as the ranking factor? Also, merry Christmas everyone.

That's a good idea , I'll put it on my todo-list with xio's good idea (rank in user list)

I'm the Dial-Up tester (maybe)!

The VP8 Party Zone is not uploading my score, though VP8 Fish Tales 3.8 is uploading my scores.

As for the program, will there be head-to-head 2 player 3 game challenges in the future?
Sonny (Sunny?) had this feature in an online VP tournament site and I enjoyed those challenges because they are dependent on the moment where anything can happen instead of topping an outstanding high score which might not leave much room for improvement.

I'll have a look at the party zone......
I don't think that i will do a head to head challenge cause you already can challenge someone in the thread or pm......
DedRok_v and ced do that often......

I just made a 5 minute-mode in pinemhi so that you can only play for 5 minutes so that less skilled players could have a chance to outperform the skilled.....will be available with the next release....
Also adding 5 tables pre 1980....

New update PINemHi Leaderboard

Version 1.4 (just unzip the contents in your pinemhi_leaderboard directory , overwriting the existing files)

New Feature:
5 MINUTE-MODE
This works the same as the normal pinemhi leaderboard except that you only get 5 minutes of playtime on a table....
There is a separate leaderboard for this mode (including cups)...
Every second and every point counts in the "5 MINUTE-MODE"
You can start the 5 MINUTE-MODE by running the START 5 MINUTE-MODE executable -edit- ( thanks yogi )

New tables:
Dolly Parton (new)
Space Invaders (new)
Silverball Mania (new)
Harlem Globetrotters on Tour (new)
Rolling Stones (new)

* also added "Ripley's Believe it or not" FS (FS wasn't in the last version)

If anybody wants to join just leave a message in this thread.....
Great way to save your own scores (they do not have to be hiscores in the nvram) and compare your score with others....
Or just have fun with the challenges and the 5 MINUTE-MODE !!!

Dna Disturber drinks.gif

P.S. For the full version download of pinemhi leaderboard v1.4 see 1st post of this thread
P.P.S. I definitely need to work on the website to make it look better and have a nice lay-out as it gets a litlle crowded with buttons and stuff, will work on it... hi.gif

Hi, I just tried the 5 MINUTE-MODE.

There was some information missing:

-How to start? Easy. Instead of the Start PINemHi_Leaderboard.exe run the START 5 MINUTE-MODE.exe. The file comes with the 1.4 update and with the full version.
-I wondered where I would know from when 5 minutes are over without to use a stopwatch? VP editor/player stops automatically and you get the PINemHi frontend displayed.

I noticed, that

1) the score is displayed very blurry, so that I nearly couldn't read (Sorry, I noticed that previously on the regular version too, but I forgot to report about).

and

2) the actual score after 5 minutes is taken. That means, if you are playing the 2nd or another game (like me), the better score from the previous games
aren't taken. So if you want to keep and submit a score from the last game, don't start and play another game in the 5 minutes.

Hi Yogi,

I put the info on starting the 5 MINUTE-MODE in whatsnew.txt......
But i should also have put it in the anouncement of the v 1.4 .....Thanks for the explanation... I will edit the post from v 1.4 and put it in just to be sure everybody reads it....

And yes after 5 minutes it just stops.....and it takes the score on the game you are playing at that moment......
You just played a test-run because otherwise you didn't need a 2nd game otvclap.gif or did you ?!? hahahaha just kidding....

On the score being blurry when asked to submit it.........It depends on your background, the window is transparent on which the text is displayed (autohotkey-thingy I have to work out)..
Let's call it a feature until I figured out how to set it properly wink.gif

But the big question is of course: Do you like the concept ?

I just posted about it here to make it clear for all, just as info. I'm sorry I didn't have a look at the "Whatsnew PINemHi_Leaderboard.txt" file first. smile.gif

In my first game I locked 3 balls and got multiball with my first ball, but I didn't score well. The other two balls ... . So I made a second game, but I failed to score well even more. biggrin.gif

Do I like the concept ? I'm still undecided, but even if I only tested it once, I tend to think it's (only) a start to develope good and better ideas for tournaments.
How often can one start the 5 MINUTE-MODE and try again? Countless times? But always only for 5 minutes. Then people (all other than me biggrin.gif) can't even play
a full 3-ball game.

I don't seem to be enthused much, right? Just my first thoughts about and only because you asked directly. I appreciate and enjoy your work and I'm always
curious about the news around PINemHi. The big question isn't if I like the concept. People should like it. We will see the answer in the amount of use of the
5 MINUTE-MODE. Even better if they post their opinion here.

However, thank you very very much for the service. dblthumb.gif

Congratulations, xio! dblthumb.gif

hmm.gif I have to play more and better.

Thx guys !! but it's only due to the new tables. I still have a lot of work to get on DedRok on many tables.

I like the 5 minutes mode, I often have very few time to play so it's a good way to have fun, even if it's really a different game (no EB needed, for example). Are we supposed to see remaining time somewhere ? (I did not understand what the transparent thing u're talking about is)

About the program itself, I think it would be great to make it more "vertical", as there's always more tables in the listbox. And/or possibility to resize the window ?

The ranks in the player scores list are really useful to focus on a table. Thx once again smile.gif

The transparent window is only there when you get to see your score when you can submit it....
It also happens on the normal pinemhi leaderboard program.
If you happen to have a white background behind the program you don't notice it at all....

No time remaining indication i'm afraid in the 5 MINUTE-MODE.......glad you like the mode....

The resizing or making it more vertical would be lots of work as i have to redo all the pictures....maybe in the future...
Want to improve on the website first....

Congrats on the 1st spot dblthumb.gif

@ ced, starting to play the FS now ..... noticed I had the old elvis after a high score , then luckily doubled that high score on the 1.02 version.
Just got the custom lockbar .... some nice feel to playing tonite dblthumb.gif

Comet keeps freezin up, but I will sort out something. Maybe I can post the scores on my real one. smile.gif

4 of the 5 new tables start with the 7 digit rom standard...
Future spa starts with the 6 but you can change it to the 7 digit in the script.
I always include all of the roms that are supported for a game....
For instance lord of the rings you can choose like more than a dozen different roms....sometimes a pain in the *** because it takes longer to investigate which bytes are used in all the different roms....but every rom is supported.
