There is an error in the script, which will give you 2 extra balls instead of 1. When you hit the 4 left targets and turn on the 4 green lights then another hit to the 4th target will turn on the "Shoot Again" light, giving you an extra ball. But in the script it gives you also an extra ball. To remove this extra ball you need to comment the line 1111 ('AddABall). I'll make a fix this weekend and I'll update the table.

Also the Special lights should give you an extra credit instead of an extra ball for a more realistic behaviour.

Mephisto VP9

Version: 1.0.0
Category: VP 9.x Recreations

Author(s): jpsalas

Description:
Based on the table by CIRSA (Spain) from 1987
This is my version of this table using only VP since the ROM still is not emulated.

Read the rules and you'll see the table is easy to understand, shoot the targets to turn on lights, shoot the ramps to lock the balls, shoot the center hole to start multiballs and defeat Mephisto by winning Jackpots smile.gif

Thanks to Berk104 for the playfield redraw and all the pictures from his real table.

Are the roms dumped from his game and it just needs to be added to pinmame or are the roms not even dumped yet.

The ROMS are dumped, but they are not emulated yet. As I understand it may take some time until they'll be emulated since it contains some chips that are not emulated in pinmame/mame yet.

I have updated the table:

Update 1.01
- Fixed the extra balls and credits errors
- changed the display to show the credits
- changed bonus sound
- adjusted the scores needed to get an extra ball. If you think they are too easy to reach then you may change their values in the script, lines 29, 30 and 31.

That's all. I have no plans for further updates for now. I think all the bugs are fixed now.

You are running the table without HR. Turn it on and it will look better. But if your card cannot run with HR then you may see artifacts like this in the transparencies, or they will become invisible.

I thought of that already the results are... well just look at the screenshot provided to see how bad it looks now. Any other suggestions, this really is the only time that I have experienced this sad.gif

JP :In some of your tables , the flipper is transparent when it is in rest position , I don't know why but I'm sure it is my graphics card.
When I get things like this , I go to the ATI control panel , set defaults and everything works ok again

Maybe this is useful for someone , my card is an ATI 512Mb PCI-Express.

Sometimes it happens to me , but if I choose "Look for an online solution" , it closes VP but when I restart it works fine

I have to say that this always happens to me in system 9-11 games or WPC-alphanumeric.I don't know if this has something to do whith it , maybe just a coincidence

Please correct my English if it is necessary.

Any funny words or sentences you can teach me are welcome too !!!

This way I'll learn about pinball but English as well.

Very nice table that I play rather often lately. Sounds are spooky and add to the atmosphere of the table. Not a very well known table (only 1 rating at ipdb) but that makes the table even more intriguing. I like the easy to understand straightforward rules as well. Would love to play the real table ones (probably have to go to Spain for that smile.gif )

Thanks JP for this gem, another superb release!
