[Flying Dutchman]

Renamed them all to fit my 'naming convention' but indeed the new HQ ones seem to run 'slower' than the previous LQ version.
May be something to do with the capturing tool you're using?

the sound idea was bounced around, but i for one found it annoying that when i wasnt playing my cab it was making all kinds of raquet. so when not in use it was a noise machine, i didnt like that.
here are the few that were done with sound to test:

so that the when stopping on a table..
it would just speak out the name of the table.
that was pretty cool...

hmmmm.....i tried on my computer and they look EXACTLY the same, i looked at 4 or 5 of them. the only thing i can think of is maybe some computers have issue with the insane kbps rate at which i encoded them. 40000 then up to 45000. do you have a specific example i can look at? maybe just some broke.

PC specs = i5 => 6GB RAM => NVIDIA GTX230 .. I don't have any problems with any tables .. only the vids play slower than expected.

I know he uses Camtasia. I downloaded it today to make my own vids and it works really well. I was having trouble with the vids so I decided to make my own. I am using Camtasia to record the screen, and Pavtube video converter to rotate and mirror the vid, then convert it to F4V.

Virtual Dub to rotate
Quick Media Converter to go from avi to flv

it was the whole avi to flv where i had problems finding a product that would give me SUPERB quality. even the CS4 adobe media converter gave me less than stunning results cranked up as high as i could. quick media converter lets me choose the kbps rate at which to encode.

Virtual Dub to rotate

You know, if you temporarily set the backdrop rotation setting to 90 in VP9 before you record the video (don't save the table!!) you can skip the step of rotating the video...

I'm just sayin!! 'cause nobody heard me the last time...

...okay, but why bring yet another external program into the mix when the software used to play the table can rotate it for you? It's one less step!! Processing the video file one more time can cause a loss of resolution due to re-compressing during the re-rendering process when the video is being rotated... fewer steps = less compression = lest artifacts.

here's what i found by skipping a step. the capture from camtasia is very good, but a relatively small file, 60mb or so. if i take just that and try to convert it to flv i lose a lot of quality. unlike when i rotate it in virtual dub i end up with an 8GB file, then when i convert that to flv the quality seems to hold up much better. thats at least what i found in my playing around. both virtual dub and quick media convert support batching things up so its really not that big of a time killer.

i dunno FD. its not the capture as i saved the original captures and used them again for the high-res. the codec is different on the hi-res ones, my VLC player calls it FLV1....where the lq ones VLC calls AVC1.
the low quality also had an audio stream in them, even though there was no sound. the hq has no audio stream. i've gone through 20 videos, lq vs hq, compared my cab to my computer and they play identical and ok. i'm mystified....weren't you the guy that couldnt play any videos at all at the start? you'd think you could be happy at some point! LOL

I'm not trying to confuse anyone with yet another program, just stating that I found a pretty good program that does the job for me. I am turning out good vids, at around 15 mb apiece. The point I was making is I am only using two programs to do the work, not three. EDIT: I tried turning a table to 90 like you said, it moved half of the table off the screen.
