@Outhere, it would be nice to have an option in the GUI instead of having to modify the script. Basic UX nicety that would go a long way.

@foofoorabbit : Welcome to the virtual pinball world where you are expected to lay down some effort to make it work they way you want it to :)

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

Go in the registry and add the DMD Size and Location to the Default or see more info

I hate to be negative on my first post ever here but I too find it ridiculous that rotating the DMD involves jumping through several hoops... that are on fire.

VPinMAME offers a bunch of options to resize, recolor, double display size, anti-alias, tweak transparency, but doesn't offer the option to rotate? Everything but the kitchen sink. Kitchen sink = rotation.

Anyways, I don't want to bring too much negativity here and will at least say that the table recreations the community is putting out is out of this world. There is so much talent here it's unbelievable.

I try all day to rotate , i remember the old days i managed to do it with the registry or script, but now i have probs, some table work some no.

My main goal is to play with one screen on 270 degrees and have the dmd at the bottom of the screen rotated.

So anyone can advice for example for the table  spiderman 3.0 how can i do that?  i know that those table have "2 dmds" , the textbox1 which i put on bottom and its ok but i cant rotate it , and the other one it can be moved all around the table with cursor but again cant be rotated.

Please anyone can help with this table and i will figure all the others.

PS: i did some changes in the script and now i have 3 dmd on screen  and the new one is rotated!   i am close little more help!

Regards

Alex

VPM DMD yes
DMD extensions DMD no

You could play the table at 0 degrees with the OS in portrait for using the DMD extensions display

For VPM's DMD  edit the table script

look for .Hidden

add a line below it like this

       .Hidden=0
       .Games(cGameName).Settings.Value("rol")=1

(and you would want that hidden to be 0 if you want to see the vpm DMD

If you need to roll the other way then ror instead of rol

You may want to add a line to the sub tablename_exit

Controller.Games(cGameName).Settings.Value("rol")=0

this puts the rotation back to normal on exit, so the change is not permanent

If you feel the need to empty your wallet in my direction, i don't have any way to receive it anyways

Spend it on Hookers and Blow

You can set up default behavior in the windows registry

Take a working table registry entry and rename it to default. Now all new tables will inherit the default settings
