NOTE:

Today's tables are some more modern tables which use modulated flashers. Some tables will work on vpinmame 3.6, but most of them will simply hang due to bugs with the modulated flashers (mostly the Stern tables), so you really need to get the vpinmame 3.7 beta to play these tables. Many of the known bugs in 3.6 are fixed in the 3.7, so go ahead here and download the vpinmame 3.7 pre-release:

Releases · vpinball/pinmame

Actually you only need these two files, the color versions of x86 and x64:

https://github.com/v...173-win-x86.zip

https://github.com/v...173-win-x64.zip

To update vpinmame you just need to unpack the zip files into the vpinmame folder and overwrite everything.

And the tables are:

Attack and Revenge from Mars (Midway-Williams) v600.vpx
Attack from Mars (Midway 1995) v600.vpx
Attack from Mars LE (Midway 1995) v600.vpx
Elvis (Stern 2004) v600.vpx
JP's Addams Family (Bally 1992) v600.vpx
JP's Avengers Classic LE (Stern - 2012) v600.vpx

JP's The Walking Dead v600.vpx
JP's Transformers (Stern 2011) v600.vpx
JP's World Joker Tour v600.vpx
JP's WOW-Monopoly v600.vpx

Rollercoaster Tycoon (Stern 2002) v600.vpx
Tales of the Arabian Nights (Williams 1996) v600.vpx

A special thanks fo fourbanks for helping me with the Addams Family table. He tested the table and helped to remove some bugs, like the ball going to the center drain coming down from the right orbit. He also suggested to add the uncle Fester electric chair :)

Enjoy! :)

And for the Spanish speaking people out there, here it is an interview also from 3 years ago :) So if you have nothing to do for 1 hour and 44 minutes then you can watch it here:

#24 ENTREVISTAS EN PROFUNDIDAD: JUAN PABLO SALAS "JPSALAS" - YouTube

A funny note about this interview is that they didn't sent me the questions before the interview. so I couldn't prepare the answers before the interview and on some questions I was like "what do I say now?" :D

Another note is that they invited me to a championship they do every year in their museum, and I said yes to go, but when the time came, half year later, I was in Spain but my knee was already in a lot of pain, so I had to decline. I don't think they liked that very much. But so is life :) They have some nice interviews in their channel with some known designers :)

Update to all my tables!

As you may know I had a knee replacement surgery in June, and while recovering from my knee replacement surgery, I got the idea to update all my tables with some needed updates, plus some bug fixes. Also this year marks my 20th anniversary since I uploaded my first table :)

What's new in my table updates to version 6.0.0:

- Moved LUT to User Options (F12). Now the changes are saved to the table's ini file, so remember to press 1 after making any changes.
- Added some extra options to the User Options (F12), mostly removing the Desktop DMD in case you are using the external DMD, removing the Rails, removing the side blades, selecting 3 or 5 balls on EM tables. Other tables had extra options in the script which I moved to the F12 menu. But rom selection is still in the script, the default rom is always the latest version.
- Updated physics to my latest rev 4.3.1. And the biggest changes are bouncier rubbers and harder flippers, which gives better control over the ball. There are also small adjustments in all the materials.
- On some tables I have added a rules card, which will be visible when pressing F12. Thanks to inkochnito for the cards, which I downloaded from his web site.
- fixed some bugs, like the EM top rubber wheel being too low and too hard, so, and now the EM tables have a better bouncing at the top lane. Alse the gates got stronger bounce.
- added extra sounds (like on the top gates)
- some tables also needed some fixes to recently discovered bugs in the script, like Serious Sam II which didn't activated the outlanes for extra ball, or in Gargamel Park where the ball was very hard to get up the green ramp. Another example is JP's Addams Family which, thanks to fourbanks input, had fixed the straight to drain from the right orbit and had new and darker font on the lights, which also were made brighter. On that table I also added uncle Fester's electricity and shake :)
- Some tables needed some playfield color and light insert changes, thanks to teisen for those changes.
- On the original tables FlexDMD is now the default DMD. The desktop DMD can be activated in the user options. The FlexDMD code has been updated to avoid errors and the resolution can be selected in the F12 menu.

So, there are many small changes on all the tables, some tables have more changes than others.

I'll be uploading several tables everyday, and I'll update this thread with a list of the tables uploaded each day. To go to the download link to all the tables just click on the image of my signature and you'll get to the list sorted by upload date and ready to download.

Enjoy

TREMENDOS UPDATES JP!!! los he probado casi todos.. y son una verdadera maravilla....
se nota muchisimo el cambio en las fisicas y muchos detalles!!!!

UN MAESTRO como siempre!!!!!

GREAT UPDATES, JP!!! I've tried almost all of them, and they're truly amazing.
The changes in the physics and many details are very noticeable!

A MASTER as always!

Hi JP,

First of all thank you very much for all your updates and all you do for the vpin community. Hope your knee is feeling better.

Maybe it's just me, but version 6 seems to blank out some digits in the flexdmd scores.
The 4th and 7th digit from the right are blank (like a score of 12345678 shows 1 34 678).
It's happening for Serious Sam 1, Mago De Oz, Wrath of Olympus, and others.

Serious Sam 2 works flawlessly, however it still shows rom version 5.5.0 when in attract mode but the table info is showing 6.0.0

Thanks again,
Roadblock

Thanks! I'll check out those tables :) I guess I know what I forgot to change in those tables. What I wanted to do is to use the same FlexDMD code on all the tables. The old code was only for low resolution (128x32) and I wanted to use a higher resolution too (256x64). But I needed to change not only the definition but many other places too, as the names of the images used were not the same, so I guess I forgot to use the new names. I also wanted to use a more solid routines for some of the functions used on the lines, so FlexDMD should not crash is a line was too long, or if I used a character that didn't have an image. So I changed a lot of things :) But I'll fix it later today, now it is time to upload the 70's tables :)

And here are the fixed originals that had problems with the FlexDMD:

Gargamel_Park_v601.vpx
JP's Ghostbusters Slimer v601.vpx
JP's Pokemon Pinball v601.vpx
JP's Space Cadet v601.vpx
Mago de Oz - the pinball v601.vpx
Serious Sam Pinball II v601.vpx

The problems could be a crash or simply a wrong display on the DMD, like rom 5.5.0 instead of 6.0.0 or missing some numbers.

In Gargamel Park I have also fixed the ball getting stuck under the droptargets if they reset too early. It still can happen, but less probably :)

In Space Cadet I have also fixed a possibility of the ball falling through the floor at the top right gate if the velocity was very slow, due to a soft plunger.

the rest of my originals seem to work fine :)

Love the updates, JP! Absolutely stellar work and I update all new tables first thing every morning :)

I do wish the file names inside the ZIP files would not change between versions as that would make things much easier in the front end (since all media, statistics etc. would be kept between versions and you could simply overwrite the old table version with the new one without having to update anything in the front end) but I'm sure there's a logistical reason behind this so I'm happy to do this manually.

One thing I noticed since a while back is on the Harley Davidson table: there's typos with the spelling of Salt Lake City ("Sakt Lake City") on the backwall. In case you want to update this, I'm attaching a photoshopped version here: https://www.swisstra...d4-e61c9ccb63a6

Looking forward to the next round of updates!
