Rait,

I was curious about that Chinesium Tilt Bob you purchased from Aliexpress.  I purchased a few of them from a local source here in the USA, but the $3.60 USD for the Chinesium version was hard to turn down.  The Bob appears to be lower mass than what I got from Marco Specialties.  As such I will need to experiment and compare the two.

Regards,

Rick

Yeah I paid 4 euros for it delivered, quite a bargain.

It would not be too difficult to add some weight to it on the inside or on the lowest part of the bob should I feel the need to do so.

Or change the bob for another, its on a thread so its removeable.

This is the only tilt bob I have ever had in my hands.

Amazing. I'm so glad I found this thread. I was eyeballing that cabinet. Do you have the inner dimensions of the playfield area? It's listed as wide body supporting 42/43" panels but I'm curious if I could squeeze a 48" C4 in there. I've seen some amazing deals on them recently.

Hello, first post!

I just came across this thread as well, and it turns out that as of today they do offer a kit "Ultra-Widebody Virtual Pinball Cabinet" that seems to be compatible with those larger size screens: "This is an ultra-widebody cabinet, so it can accommodate 48" screens. It has been built around the popular 48" LG OLED C4/C5 TV, so we highly recommend grabbing one of these C models." [1]

The Tukkari ultra-widebody virtual pinball cabinet is 40mm wider than Tukkari widebody cabinet,

Siderails available too.

And lockdown bar available too but looks like that is only available for the ultra-widebody? Now that is a big bummer.

The Lockdown Bar for the Tukkari Widebody cabinet is available as well. We keep them in stock and currently these are available on request because the Widebody cabinet is compatible with regular off-the-shelf lockdown bars, including the popular JJP widebody lockdown bar and the JJP lockdown bar receiver. In Europe, however, JJP lockdown bars with action button are often hard to find—availability is limited, they’re frequently sold out, and sometimes not restocked for months. It looks like we will need to offer our lockdown bar as a regular option, just as we already do for the Ultra-Widebody cabinets. Jan from TUKKARI cabinets.

I am amazed at the quality of these cabinets, not only from Tukkari, but from most of the cabinet fabricators here in the USA too.   The quality of materials exceeds that of actual pinball machines, especially cabinets built in the 70's.

Just ordered some nice fresh parts for my build.

Siderails and lockbar, both coming from Tukkari.

Also cabinet graphics being printed by Tukkari as well.

Graphics done amazingly nice by [email protected] in the other side of the globe of me, in Australia, thanks mate :)

Not many parts missing now; legs, coindoor and playfield glass.

And a good enough PC although most PC prices seem to be skyrocketing...

Will get back to building in a few days.

Some of you might know this guy who is gonna be appearing on my cabinet along with some of his friends.

I saw your videos before I discovered this thread. I just recently watched Daniel's video on the Tukkari cabinet and I love the look of them. Very high quality and they seem very easy to assemble. I'm curious about a couple of concerns I had though.

The first concerns front panel buttons. I'm used to seeing a Launch button below the plunger for newer-style tables without a plunger, but I'm not seeing a cutout for that. Also, I'm used to seeing Start, Exit, Coin, and Extra Ball buttons on the front panel. Basically, I'm seeing a plunger cutout and one button cutout on the left. Where would all of those other important buttons go?

The other concern I had was that there appears to be no good or easy PC access. I'm used to seeing PC access from the rear of the machine with the PC often mounted on a pull-out tray or board. From what I can see here, anytime you would need to access the PC, you would need to completely remove the playfield glass and raise the playfield display.

I wasn't sure if I was missing something on those points. Would you be able to elaborate there? Either way, that is a great looking cabinet and I look forward to watching your progress. Keep up the great work and keep us informed of your progress. Good luck!

Siderails and lockbar, both coming from Tukkari.

Interesting that they were not included in the original shipment of the kit.

May I ask what happened there?

The siderails are available as an option when purchasing. I'd assume he did not opt to purchase them when he initially purchased his flat-pack. Tukkari only offers the lockdown bar with their ultra-wide kit, and it's an option there too, so only sent if you opt for and pay for it. It looks like they're focusing strictly on the cabinet in most cases.

Good questions guys, happy to answer them where I can.

I think I was one of the early buyers so when I made the cabinet kit order to Tukkari, there was no Tukkari siderails available, nor was there any Tukkari lockdown bars for sale.

And same goes for the graphics printing service; Tukkari printing has only become available in, lets say 2026.

My wish for Santa this year is that hopefully in the future, for the upcoming builders, there will be Tukkari legs and Tukkari coindoors to order ;-)
