So let's slow it right down and test one button, P2.
I believe P2 is setup on port 3052 and is BGR, so 3052 = Blue, 3053 = Green and 3054 = Red.
Can you please, with DOFLinx set with DEBUG=1, go to right-click, "Test Device by Port". This will allow you turn on one output at a time.
So turn on device 3, port 52, output value 255 for 1000mS - what colour do you get?
device 3, port 53 - what colour?
device 3, port 54 - what colour?

Sure, here it is ![]()
device 3, port 52 - Blue

Yeah, I said we'd get there! I have started adding colour button support to the MAME files each time I touch one. This will turn on the buttons required for the game chosen. If the game has specific colours for buttons then I'm changing the buttons to those colours for the game (ie A-Jax). In fact in A-Jax the Super Weapon button only lights up when the weapon is available!
I've attached a couple of MAME files. Feel free to try them out. Just copy them to your D:\LaunchBox\ThirdParty\DOFLinx\MAME\ folder.
Obviously you can get a fresh set of MAME files from each DOFLinx.zip release, or grab them as they change from the GitHub repository.
Let me know if you think there is more we can do with RGB buttons.
One last note for now, attract mode with morphing button colours looks pretty cool IMHO. Happy to help if you want to give that a try.

Yeah its a very cool feature when only the buttons that are in use for the specific game are lit, and even more cooler when "special" buttons lits up twhen it can be used!, Extremely useful for new Arcade players!
I´ll have an eye on your GIT and see when there are changes, and try it out ![]()
As for now I can´t think of something that ain´t already working with DOFLinx, I´ll come back to you if I see or come up with something ![]()
I tried your new .MAME files, and the buttons lit up nicely, not sure how to see that attract mode RGB morphing. I assume it would lit the buttons when the game is waiting for a player but could not see anything? Correct me if I´m wrong.
Also reach out to me if you want anything tested that use my button setup ![]()
I actually started a new project this weekend, this time it´s a Pinball Cabinet build (cheated this time and bought a Atgames Pinball Legends cabinett that I´m going to gut and build a new backbox). So now i´m planning my list of stuff on what to do and what to buy
.
Thanks once again @DDH69 for your superb support ![]()

Thanks for the testing offer. Sounds like a fun new project. Do remember, you can never have too many RGB buttons!!
I've attached a few attract files that you can test out on your arcade cabinet. I think I've got the button numbers correct. You may need to adjust the paths. If you Attract_Load then Attract_ON you should get some smooth morphong of colours across your player buttons as an example of what can be done. This can all be added to DOFLinx.INI with an attract timer to start the effects after X.

Yeah I it´s going to be a fun project. Have not decided yet about the buttons, but a few RGB wouldn´t hurt I guess hehe ![]()
Tried your files now and the P1 and P2 buttons are nicely synced and blinks like discolights, so it works great ![]()
