I had exactly the same problem. Everything configured correctly yet no communication between PinballFX and DofLinx.

 

Checked my Doflinx.exe file and it was set to 'run as administrator' in properties. This is interesting as I never set that manually when I upgraded my Doflinx. Perhaps I had it checked on my old version of DofLinx before I upgraded. I am wondering if the file inherits the 'run as administrator' checkbox when being overwritten? 

 

Once I removed the tick to run as administrator then PinballFX started communicating with DofLinx correctly. You may want to put this info in the install/upgrade notes as it may catch out others.
