Thanks for this table, JP.
I remember when it appeared at my local arcade back in the day I didn't like it. It was one of the first wide-body tables. But the design seemed strange, all that black in the foreground, that odd capture ball in the upper left. The table we had seemed to play very slowly, sluggish flippers, and the ball seemed to drain very quickly with the dual flippers.
But today, playing your beautiful table, I can't imagine why I didn't like it. It plays real well, with strong flippers like a VPX table should have, and that capture ball is most satisfying!
I started playing without fixing the outter flippers ... I'll do that later. But at least for a little while, it keeps me from draining the ball by having one of those flippers up at the wrong time.
The ROM from VPF here works, but VPinMAME says that it does not have the sound portion within it. I've tried the other ROMs that people suggested here, but they kept coming up as corrupted, even after deleting the nvram file. Better to play without sounds, I guess, than not at all.
Again, thanks for this beautiful table! Nice to revisit one of the tables from my old Arcade Days!
