The roms are all hosted here, even the new ones. I'm missing F14 P3 and P4, so as soon as those are available they'll be uploaded too.

Brooks is here:

Still just the game rom - unplayable, and the diagnostics aren't useful without a display rom. It hasn't been changed in a long time.

Wow! Thanks for the missing roms. I was just joking when I asked for them in my previous post here. I didn't really expect to get them that fast. Complete now as reported from clrmamepro. Thanks again! cool.gif

Alright, an update!

If only they can get Bally speech emulation fixed someday, I'll be content.

Thanks for the ROMs, destruk and Peter!

Destruk, is this ROM-files "better" than the old ones. Enhanced or something?
I mean, No Good Gofers for example, the ROM I play with is 1.3 and this "only" 1.0.

Also tried to use the F-14 ROM, but with no success.

And while Iīm at it. Can I use this 2.2 version, as I run FS tables with the modified VPinMAME.dll

Thanks in advanced! vava.gif

They aren't 'better' - they are simply different versions of the same game. Before you ask, I don't know anything specific about what is different, but they report different version numbers in the display and have different checksums.
To use the alternate f14 roms you'll need to edit the script for the f14 table to use it. You can use whatever dll you like - the cabinet dll modified version was updated with all relevant changes from 2.2.

Added support to compile PinMAME with GCC 4.0, hopefully this will create
interest for someone to build a Linux version

Cool! There's various projects I want to do with it. With luck, I'll find some time and be able to give it a try. Is anybody else working on a Linux version?

FreeWPC already has a Linux version on his website - mentioned on the first page of this thread here:
http://www.vpforums....i...ost&p=34489

XPinMAME patch link is the one to grab for that.

I've been compiling PinMame for several years under Linux... I'm not sure what had to change in 2.2 to support this.

The patch to add the unix support is on my website at http://www.oddchange.com/freewpc. If there is interest to merge these changes into the main cvs repo, let me know how. It's mostly just a bunch of new files taken from an older xmame release.

Hopefully it will have the improved LPC chirptables for the TMS5200/5220/5220C implemented as in MAME 0.139.

I really like to check out the Squawk and Talk games with the improved emulation of this chip.
And the other improved features of course.
