I noticed an issue with the latest Knightrider update and the Jaws table, All previous versions of the table worked fine, but the latest Knightrider and Jaws tables create the override.cfg file in the tables folder and it seems to cause issue with the table running, the video screen is in a frozen state after first launch and close and restart the table.  If i go delete the override.cfg file it works again.  Also it causing all of the other pingod tables like Nightmare, MOTU etc to stop working until I go delete the override.cfg file.  Not sure why that is, but i'm only seeing the issue with the latest .98 version of Knightright and the Jaws .95 versions as those seem to be the only ones that create the override.cfg file.

The trough change worked?

override.cfg is per game, not global, so that sounds like you're running games from a single directory?

Correct each game is in the Visual Pinball Tables folder.

I'll presume you got around the forced focus / trough issue

I still have both issues.  The ability to start a table (insert coins works) when loading with Pin Up Popper still doens't work and the issue with the latest Knightridger and the Jaws tables and the overide.cfg file causing the other pingod tables to cease to work is still an issue i'm seeing.

Why not save them as TableName.cfg, then it would work in both cases.

Thanks for your reply.

I leave it for now.

On the other hand I played your "Playboy (Boogie Mod) (HSM, HorsePin 2022) (PinGod) 0.95" without problem. Funny mod by the way.

KR = 10MB << Packed with UPX so it's more likely you get false positive.

(With Google Translate).

I did not know the executable compression. After some research on the internet, indeed they can produce false positives. Good to know.

Hey burtmacklin, did you ever get it to work through POPPER?  I have the same issue, I can add coins but can't start a game.  Outside of POPPER it runs fine.

Same issue for me on the cabinet, without Popper MOTU, Knight Rider and Jaws are running. EXE, PCK and OVERRIDE.CFG are in seperate directories for every game, VBS is modified for these directories.

With Popper every key is working as assigned. Only the start button does nothing at all, whatever key I assign.

Strange thing:

I'm running the same configuration on a desktop PC, there the tables start with Popper and I can use "1" or any other key to start the pin.

Only the cabinet doesn't like the start button.

Software: VPX 10.7.1, PinGod 1.62 and all the usual needed stuff with the latest versions (all are the same on cabinet and desktop PC)

Edit:

I noticed one main difference.

The cabinet PC is quite fast, in Popper you see the PinGod-"DMD" and then the table starts.

The desktop PC is slower, there the table starts and after that the PinGod-"DMD" appears.

Search for p-roc package in the deep internet, and put a lot of additional work and setting in there. Then you have probably some more tables... Knight Rider, Gremlins,... It's all on you and your efforts.
