I didn't add that 3 extra multiballs when finishing Maelstrom, I didn't know about that :)

No problem at all, and no rush if you decide to implement that rule later on. It was a big surprise to me as well when I finished Maelstrom for the first time on Full Tilt, since naturally, there is no multiball in 3D Pinball.

I take note in case there is a revision :)

jpsalas - Is there something different about the flexDMD set up in this game than your other games
I have a real pin 2 DMD and I use lucky1's DmdDevice.dll file which works fine with your other games but will not work with this game  (Will not let game load)

If I use the freezing file instead the game works

I'm using flexDMD 1.80

There are some differences between the Maxis version and the Microsoft game, but mostly they are:

- the multiball that doesn’t exist in the Microsoft version
- the replay or extra ball, which is limited to just 1 per ball, not like in Microsoft which they are infinite
- the wormholes work a little different as they give you both the multiball and also the replay ball.
Other than that, the rules are pretty much the same. The missions and the rest are the same.

The wormholes prioritize locks over the Replay, but if there is more than 1 ball in play at a time, the correct Wormhole retains the Replay award.

Finishing Maelstrom throws out 3 more balls in play in the Full Tilt version, unless there is an active multiball going.

Thank you again for building this with multiball in mind! I feel more people need to be aware of the Full Tilt version -- the other 2 tables are just as good.

Incredible!!!! Jp, you are great, I needed, something like this ..... in fact your timing is amazing, while I am updating SpaceCadet for FP, created by my great friend GianFranco (franzleo), here is your recreation for vpx, so could you help me in terms of rules, if that's okay for you let's talk about it in private, ok JP?

https://pinballnirva...65/#post-131642

where can i find 10.7?

All I know about the rules are in that rulessheet and in the video, the links are in the fist post of this thread.

10.7 is still in beta, so you find it in the beta thread The VP 10.7 beta thread - Visual Pinball - VPForums.org

Many thanks JP.....I sent you a pm, regarding multiball, which I would like to implement in my version of Fp.

You just need to change the variable (or constant :) ) from True to False, which you can find at beginning of the script:

'FlexDMD in high or normal quality
'True if you have an LCD screen, 256x64
'or False if you have a real DMD at 128x32 in size
Const FlexDMDHighQuality = True

Hi.

I really love this table. However I noticed some issues with the points. They are not correct. Sometimes when playing it does not increase.

Restarted the table but it does not change.

Anyone else with the same issue ?

Thanks for help.

I'll take a look at the scoring. But I guess I'll need a little more info to find where the error can be.

Bugs/fixes already found and fixed, for the next revision:

- Added a 3 ball multiball after finishing Maelstrom

- Fixed a bug where sometimes multiballs were not counted right.

I found the error with the scoring :) The only thing that could be was the playfield multiplier being 0 instead of 1 (or higher). I guess the timer didn't reset right the variables after the multiplier was higher than 1. I have re-written those routines, I just need to test it a little more before I upload the fix :)

UPDATE

1.0.1 Updated 29.08.2021
- Fixed multiball ball counting.
- Added a 3 ball multiball when finishing Maelstrom
- Fixed scoring not working sometimes. That happened after the playfield multiplier got a wrong value of 0.

Let's hope all the bugs are fixed :)

What a nice job on the game
The lighting, The kicks out are all over the place You're never sure where the ball is going to come out makes for a fun game
Also thanks for the update

The table is absolutely fantastic and works just like I remember the original, except it looks great in 4k and it feels like an actual pinball table now! Brilliant work.

I downloaded and installed VPX 10.7 just for this table so I have no idea if it is my setup or a table issue but I find that once I have entered 5 high scores it won't ask me to enter my name and record further high scores when I beat those currently recorded. Any suggestions? It doesn't stop me playing the table but it is annoying!

I believe I'm having a similar issue to yours. My #1 high score (recorded on the DMD list) is 6 million, while my "Last Score" is 24 million. I was not prompted to input my initials after the 24M point game.

Using Space Cadet 1.01 with VPX 10.7.

Yep! Exactly the same issue.

I've tried 1.00 and 1.01, with the 10.7 beta unzipped over the top of a 10.6 install.

I haven't done any changes to the highscore routines since I have been using them in many tables. But I can always take a look if I find something wrong :)

Seems to be working again now... Only thing I've not been able to double check is if it occurs when you get an extra ball on ball three...

{EDIT} Just had it happen with no extra ball earned on ball three...

Here's the #1 high score:

https://ibb.co/87CGzgF

Here's the last score:

https://ibb.co/WVFQ36R

It seems to only happen when I surpass 10 million, but I'll update if there are any "indicative" behaviors. Strangely enough, I haven't seen this happen in your recent Deadpool release.

Love your work, JP!

It is strange this highscore problem, since the routines are the same in all my latest tables, including Deadpool. But I'll test it, and I'll see if I find something wrong :) Maybe I forgot to initialize some variable or something :)

UPDATE

1.02 Updated 30.08.2021
- Fixed several problems with the highscore entry.
- Fixed playfield multiplier not resetting right and may be causing problems for the next player.
- Fixed several other timers not resetting at a new ball, also causing problems for the next player.

I found several errors in the highscore routine. One was a typo :) And the other error happened because when I wrote that routine I was thinking that the routine should be called at the end of the game, and only give a highscore to the player with the highest score. Later people told me that wasn't fare, and I changed to give the highscore at the end of each players turn, this way several player could get a highscore and enter the initials. At some point in time, I'm sure when I was rebuilding the script, the highscore routines got overwritten by the old ones, thus giving only 1 highscore, even if it was called at the end of each players last ball. This still worked fine if you play with just one player, as I usually do, but it may give some problems when several players were playing. The highscore of a player could get overwritten by another player's highscore, or some player's highscore were ignored because another player had a higher score. I have tested the routines and they seem to work fine, but as always there may still be errors :)

I also had forgotten to reset and stop some timers, which may give problems to the next player, the worst one was the playfield multiplier, which still could get a 0 value, making impossible to score.

Thanks JP, I can't remember how many hours I spent playing this game when I was younger

It's a very good surprise, and I never thought I would be able to play this table now I'm retired, so many years after :)
