Hello all,

I'm in the process of optimizing my VPX experience, and have yet to find a way to make machines tilt only using the KL52Z without a pendulum. Is there a way to make the the keyboard nudge register with 0% strength when the accelerometer is hit, while counting towards the "tilt warning?" I'm not afraid of unconventional approaches.

"just wondering how to get into the pinscape setting to change the threshold settings and tilt multiplier. Would it be in the setting tab or buttons tab. cant seem to find it ,any help here would be greatly appreciated."

This question was asked in response to TallaNasty312 saying this worked for him.

I have renamed the script and moved it to the tables folder. The spacebar does trip the tilt mechanism.

However, I can shake the machine as much as I want and tilt does NOT happen.

So the question above is asking how TallaNasty312 set up the rest of the scenario to make this happen without a tilt bob.

Also, I want to know if a 2 joystick config negates all of this anyway. I have 2 boards, the KL25Z and the board that was already in the game which controls the buttons and such.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

So the question above is asking how TallaNasty312 set up the rest of the scenario to make this happen without a tilt bob.

Also, I want to know if a 2 joystick config negates all of this anyway. I have 2 boards, the KL25Z and the board that was already in the game which controls the buttons and such.

I also use two boards. A 0 delay encoder to control the buttons, and a kl25z for the analog nudge. Previously (with a previous PC) the two worked together and the virtual Tilt worked if I shook the cab too much. Since I changed my PC, virtual has not worked since then, as you wrote. For some reason the two boards do not work together, it would work properly if the buttons were also controlled by the kl25z.
Therefore, I was forced to install a real tilt-bob in the cab. I connected this to the 0 delay encoder and it simulates pressing the T (mech tilt) key when it activates.
With this, Tilt already works on most of the tables, except for those that do not use ROM (EM and many originals).
In the case of EM tables, I have found that it just tilts without warning when the tilt-bob fires.
In the case of original tables, which doesn't use ROM (especially JPSalas' tables and mods made from them), it is necessary to enter an additional line in the game's script (thanks to JPSalas!).
In the part of the script where the lines beginning with "If keycode =" are written, the following must be entered in a new line:

"If keycode = 20 Then CheckTilt"

Here, keycode 20 represents the T key, so when the script detects it, it checks the previously set values for Tilt, and then Tilts the game at the right moment (mostly after two warnings).

So I think you either wire the buttons control to the kl25z or get a real tilt-bob.
