But you have a toy button in the public edition, Steve. I think you should have somewhere in the dev edition a field naming the model in order to put it in the right category. Or you have an other tool in order to do that...

Popotte Please check again. I know both editor like the back of my hand and there is absolutely no TOY button in the public version
the button you are talking about is just a menu item that open the sub-categories Spindisk and hologram.

OK. We are not speaking about the same toy button... So, if I well understand, the dev tool doesn't give the possibility to put a model in a category and/or a sub category. This is done when Chris build a new version (or something like that). Not really important.
But, as toys will (would?) be not supported with the next release, does it mean that Spindisk and hologram will disapear too?

In other words... the toy button is not the toy button

Ah Damn...you kids...
For Popotte : When you build an object in the DEV version you have to Tag it so it is properly dispatch to it's menu in the public version of FP
E.G. for a object to behave as a BULB I have to select the tag BULB in the dev. If you open the same object in the public version of FP it will instantly appear
under LIGHT>BULB that's all.
But TOY in FPPublic is the name of the ROOT of the Menu and not a BUTTON itself so it cannot create objects.

Hey guys... how can I put new toy object to existing table? The copy/paste method between 2 opened tables doesn't work for me.

What you need to do is export the model from the first table (Table -> Model Manager -->...) and then import it in the new table (Table --> Model Manager -->...) just like you would with a texture.

Pinbotic, thanks for response, but you probably missed my point - or I missed yours
I know how to export models or how to create models. I don't need to any existing model.
I just cannot add Toy object to the table in the first place. When object is added I can set model for it - that's for sure. It's not problem for me to create custom shape and add it for any kind of object.. instead of toy. I need toy because I need to move that.
I hope it's clear now what I'm asking about.

You need to copy a TOY from a table, ther toy factory being a good example then when you import your toy model it should appear in the drop down menu for the toy model.
Hope that makes sense.

Thanks for another response.
GLXB, if you referring to this:
3. go back to the demo table and simply cut the the object you need
4. paste itin your table. Now you have a toy in your table
It just doesn't work! I copy the toy object and can paste on the same table. When I switch to second table and order to paste it - it just doesn't work.
Moreover - it seems that copy/paste operation is made by FP internaly, and the copied object (to memory) is not shared for other instances of FP application. Sample:
1. table 1 "copy object"
2. table 2 "copy object"
3. table 1 "paste object"
the result is duplicated object from table 1 to table 1.

1. Open the table with the model
2. Export the model
3. Export the model texture
4. Open your new table
5. Import your model
6. Import your model texture
7. Apply the texture
Is that correct?

I assume you have a model you are trying to import that you have set the properties to toy on.
Can you import the model into the toy factory and then change the model to your new one?
If you can't get that far then there may be a problem.

Nope. Wrong assumption. I have model and texture imported but I don'y have object to apply that on.
