should have twd_160.bin inside of twd_160.zip

twd_160h.bin is for the LE version, which is different

Thanks. But this is exactly as my rom looks inside (twd_160.bin). But, anyway, trying another one ...

Yes, this table uses the Pro ROM, I wrote that in the download notes :) I guess only a few read those notes :) It is like reading a manual, who reads manuals anyway ;)

Ok, redownloaded Pro Rom from Stern website, renamed the bin to twd_160.bin and packed it in twd_160.zip.

Same error. Table and rom starts; inserting coins, starting play. After a few seconds the error comes again. Happens in attract mode too. So i have no clue ... maybe the lamp timer is drunken :stunned:

Works for me using the PRO version of the rom. Just for shits and giggles, I downloaded 1.60 PREMIUM/LE and named it twd_160.bin and added it to a twd_160.zip and then tried to run the table, I get the exact error you're having. Table starts, lights flash, everything works until I start the game and it errors on chglamps. So, as everyone else has been saying, download the pro version of the rom and use that, I think you've accidentally grabbed the PREMIUM/LE one on accident.

it´s running now - strange. And i had the latest rom. So what i have done:

1) simply downloaded the PRO Rom from Stern website again

2) didn´t rename! the file and kept it as "TWD160.BIN"

3) simply zipped THIS file to twd_160.zip

Works now ... my old 160 pro rom was named inside zip as twd_160.BIN

I like the table Jp. The physics are good. The plunger is slow, messes with my rhythm, but at least it autoplunges when I fudge it up

UPDATE:

1.0.1 Updated 06.05.2021
- Changed the magnet to grab the ball as it does in the real table.

After seen many videos I realized that the magnet grabbed the ball and kept it there for a few seconds. Then the rom turn on and off the magnet to get some random direction to the ball, otherwise the ball should have gone STDM and gone :) In VP I had to add a small random routine, and the turning on and off the magnet was not strong enough to get a random exit direction. I have not deleted the version 1.0.0 in case you prefer the first version :) But this version 1.0.1 is only 11Mb (and the zip is 9.4 Mb :) )

I like the table Jp. The physics are good. The plunger is slow, messes with my rhythm, but at least it autoplunges when I fudge it up

Just turn off the new plunger since it is too slow and I'm not sure if it will get fixed before 10.7 is released. I like the new function to the plunger to go back to the start point if you keep pressing it, but it doesn't work fine in all the tables, and it is too slow compared to the older behavior.

[attachment=32300:plunger_off.PNG]

This new plunger is turned off now by default, but it was on in the older 10.7 revisions.

I forgot to turn back on the ShowDMDOnly  as I was watching the solenoids firing :) So if your DMD looks too big with a lot of small dots and numbers displaying under, then just redownload the table :)

With VP10.7, the plunger is slow if the square below is checked

I simply wanted to play a VPX table of the Pro version, as many reviews of this table say it has a greater flow. I know there is (or was) a Pro version in VPX, but I just wanted to play it with my physics :)

Thanks for all your contribution

will you ake this table also in the original style ?

regards

Thanks JP, great table as always. I couldn't believe v1.0.1 was even smaller!

No. I won't make this table with the original Stern graphics, as there are already good tables, both Pro and LE.

Yes, I saw a few images that could be enhanced a little more. But still the playfield and plastics are 4K in size :)

I haven't downloaded yet the newest update of the table, only the version from yesterday.

I don't know the real table so i have no idea if it's true to its real counterpart : but i found this version highly enjoyable because the physics really make the table "flowing" superbly, delivering a really fun gameplay.

Great job on this !

And i was really amazed by how optimised this table is, because despite the SAM cpu-heavy emulation the table works incredibly smoothly even on some not-that-good PC, just WOW i'm very impressed.

Jpsalas is truly the king, thank you for your fantastic work on this table  :)

Ball can get stuck on the upper left of the bumpers, and it has happened a few times already. Shaking it will often get it loose, but, not before my cab is giving me an unfair tilt warning. I would be able to fix this all on my own, but, if you updated it again Juan, it would be great if you took a extra look.

I've managed to get my friend hooked on TWD, so, I'm looking forward to see his reaction to the game. Thanks a bunch !

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

UPDATE

1.0.2 Updated 07.05.2021
- Tried to fix ball stuck on the upper left of the bumpers
- broke the top of the right ramp to see the lights under.

I guess the ball stuck is fixed now, as I added small walls all the places where the ball could get stuck. I think the problem was a ramp working as a ball guide, but I added some walls other places too, just to be sure :)

I also broke the top of the right ramp so the skill shot lights are visible both in FS and in desktop mode. In desktop mode the Tower target was not very visible, and also being in red color didn't help much, so now it is light blue and visible :)
