I've now installed FlexDMD into the VPinMAME folder, and getting a different error on the Base Installation screen.

 

DmdDevice.dll and DmdDevice64.dll have different versions:  1.4.0.0 vs 1.8.2.0.  Please reinstall matching files.

 

After re-installing FreezyDMD, both x86 and x64 bit versions, have all the errors disappeared from the Base Installation screen.

 

Ran Mephisto and DMD working now.

You have an old 32 bit version of freezys installed and a new 64bit version

 

dmdext-v1.8.2-x86.zip

unzip that into vpinmame folder

VPX does not make use of the 64bit one unless you are running a nonstandard 64bit vpx setup
which i doubt you are

- Changed the Environment image to enhance a little the object shadows.

- Some small script updates, like the Rolling sound and PlaySoundAt routines.

- Made the light inserts warmer.

 

I have also reimported the music in OGG format, which also helped to reduce the file size

I guess you are playing in desktop mode. What you are seeing is the desktop DMD, which is made of flashers and it is meant to be a faster option for people playing only desktop with one screen.

Since you ask to move that DMD then I guess you have another screen, so to move the DMD you will need to enable the FlexDMD, so simply change the line 47     UseFlexDMD = False     to       UseFlexDMD = True

Now the FlexDMD will be visible also in the desktop version and you can move it where you want.

Nailed it JP!  I am indeed in DT mode with 2 screens.  That was exactly what I was looking for.

This update is only needed if you have DOF, since that is the only change in the table

I Add some solenoid callouts and adjust others.

Make sure you download new dof files from the dof website.
