Physics changes? Interesting. Would love to hear about them, but understand if you'd like to keep them under your hat for now, Toxie.

Nothing spectacular. I did some experiments with Embree, as this now features collision detection routines, and thus needed to change some stuff and clean up things under the hood to make that work.

But turns out, that Embree can for some tables even be slower than our quad/kd-tree implementations (as these have more top level information and are also pretty well optimized).

Apart from that i (once again) try to unify more of the physics code. But it's a bottomless pit.

But at least it looks like some tweaks may survive that will improve corner cases and have less issues.

Embree is R3987 and I only updated to R3986. So VPVR is already outdated again.

Enhancement suggestion.  I know a few people have asked for table positioning to be configurable by table.  Would it be possible to set positioning, slope, scaling, etc for tables in the table script?  Would be handy for tables like Hercules (very large table so default settings have you standing in the middle of the table), Knorr's new World Cup Soccer (built at a smaller scale so needs to be scaled up), or Black Hole (built on a raised playfield so the playfield is above your head).

I seem to have a major problem with this awesome Vr  extension. My headset doesn't have 6-dof only 3

When  i start a table im put under  the table and under the backglass, is there a way to start in a more playable position? or reset the position to in front of the table after loading if not before. This looks fantastic if i could only use it. i have a Pimax 4k

Thanks for your response.  Im not sure what you mean though, im not able to move around, and pressing zero doesn't do anything. i dont have  6 degrees positional tracking and when i start a table it puts me under it, next to the back side of the table. how can i change the camera position? is there a way? and once i do are you saying zero locks it down?

I kinda figured it out.. I changed vr table settings xy and hight that seemed to fix it..just took some working out

would be great if we can do it in game though

I understand now, omnikom. Wasn’t thinking about implication of 3 DOF vs 6. I think you can at least raise and lower height of VR table with keyboard number keys (can’t remember which ones). Hope you can get it working. Does your headset allow you to recenter at all?

Zero key on my headset puts machine right in front of me, no matter where I’m standing. Brings the machine to YOU, instead you you going to it

Hi! You have to go to Preferences, VR Settings, and play around with the VR settings : SCALING, VR TABLE ORIENTATION , VR TABLE X, VR TABLE Y, VR TABLE HEIGHT.... I put a tick in "SCALE TABLE TO WIDTH (in cm), then I put SCALING in 65 (a little bigger than real), Table orientation 90.0 for me, but I am using a vr equipment with wall mounted bases (my son´s equipment). I dont know the correct set up for other vr helmet with built in sensors.... X and Y move the machine in those axis in your room, and VR Height lowers and upper the machine. 80 for playing sat down, and 100 for stand up playing. I hope it can help you.

The 50% of the tables have issues with the ball, or dmd doesn t show up, or b2s 7 segment displays don t work, or dont begin at all... VPVR is in beta version....So, besides a lot of VR room tables, I ´ve tryed a lot of VPX and VPX FSS tables in VR too, and if one doesnt work, other does! :)  I like 80s tables, and TRIZONE FSS and CATACOMB FSS among others , work 100% in VR mode, the backglasses, the playfield and the 7 seg. digits work fine. Obviously, it is awesome when a room is working, indeed a dark black background, but  we can play like this until the VR room versions are released. I still dont understand the criterium. I have VPVR in the same folder as VPX in my virtual machine working 100%, with all the b2s with the names matching the table names, and when running a table in VR, the backglass appears but the 7 segment displays dont! WHY?. Am I doing something wrong or missing something?. I play VPX JPs Harlem Globetrotters in VR without 7 segment digits. So I decided to put HIDDEN=0 so at least I can look the final score of a gameplay in the monitor.

You should learn how to implement flasher dmds. Alphanumeric work as flasher "dmds" only. Some Sys11 are available. All of those needed some fine tuning. All of those are based on arconovums fantastic work.

I dont think there is a tutorial yet. Just compare i.e. Diners non-VR to VR code and find the differences regarding dmd, flashers and lights. You have a little coding experience, you'll learn fast. You also could ask some of the sys11 VR authors to give you some advices. I pretty much forgot everything I knew.

Hello, I FINALLY managed to get my kinect 2 to work on the VR with bam tracker: I followed the tutorials, however, I still have a problem to resolve and there I cannot find: the backglass is always behind the playfield, impossible to put on the 2nd screen: I came to tell me that it was perhaps a problem coming from vpx_GL
Thanks for your help
