I’m not sure if I missed it somewhere, but is there a way to get the dmd on the back glass for two screen support? I really like the this table and the new attack revenge from mars but like to have a dmd on the back glass.

Yes, you have missed the part where I explain what means "DT" in the name :) This table uses a VPX DMD and it cannot be moved to another screen.

Attack & Revenge from Mars is a vpinmame table, uses the the AFM rom, so it is a matter of enable the vpinmame and moving it to the other screen. But as the name says "DT" it means it is a desktop table, whic it is setup to be used with the exclusive fullscreen mode, so you will need some small work to put it in a cabinet (enable vpinamme DMD, move away the flash DMD, use a POV file to change the view in the FS mode).

Hey JP, great work on this table. I actually really like it alot with how it plays. When you code tables, do you do it from scratch or do you copy and paste code snippets? Do you have a code template?! I'd like to be able to code a table but coding knowledge is not great. I'd love to create a Iron Maiden table based on the real stern table. Like you did with Kiss etc
Cheers.

I resuse a lot the code. I do not keep a "master" script since I always change some small things from here and there. What I do is to take the last script, and I simple remove all that has to do with the table, and it use to be from the middle of the script to the end. I have used several DMD solutions, from my first DMD using reels, UltraDMD, and I tried PinUp but I did not made any table with it, and my latest tables uses a DMD made with flashers.

I did not make the Kiss table. I made a Pokemon table using the Stern KIss layout. Someone else took that Pokemon table and changed the graphics and sounds with the Kiss ones. The rules were quite similar, but not the same.

If you do not have good knowledge about scripting a VP table, then I suggest you start with an easy table, an EM table or similar, without complicated rules. And see how everything works. My Papa Smurf or Smurfette are very easy tables. Just take them appart and see if you understand how everything works. I use a newer script now, which you can see in my latest Spanish tables, but the comments are in Spanish, since I wrote that script so akiles could check and learn the script.

Found a way to cheat me to a mb. After adding mechanical tilt, I became a bit annoyed after a drain while it was counting bonus. Shook the cab into a tilt. Instant mb on next ball - whoohoo.

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

Yes, I know about a few more "cheats" or better called "bugs" :) But I guess I keep them to myself :) Maybe I'll try to fix them in the next versions or in the new tables :)

Is there a simple way to move the DT DMD to the backglass?  It looks like it is off to the left of the playfield, but copying that to another location doesn't seem to work.  I tried copying it to the top of the playfield, just to see if it would show up, but it doesn't.

There are two set of fashers acting as the DMD, one for desktop view and another for the FS view, which shows on the apron. This second one can be moved to the top of the table if you want but it won't look good, since it is parallel to the playfield, Just keep it on the apron :) The meaning wa to write a table that uses little resources and can be played in one screen using the exclusive fullscreen mode. It can be easily played on a cabinet aby changing the POV, but the DMD will be on the apron, as VPX can only handle one screen, thanks to Microsoft removing the spanned mode in Windows Vista (also in 7 and 10).

Hmm, I will have to try it again, I didn't see anything on the apron.  But, I did export the POV from the original Serious Sam table and import it, so possibly the apron is not being displayed.

Just wanted to say again, love this table - great work man! The flow and shots are really good fun. I wonder if it'd be easy to create a pup pack with backglass scoring to go with it for cabinet users and then get ride of the dmd on the apron. I might have a look into it. Oh and based on GOTG!? Have you got an Iron Maiden 2018 layout coming!?  ;)

Nothing is difficult if you know how to make it :) Maybe I'm getting old :) but I like to concentrate on the pinball playing part, and I don't like so much watching videos or playing small games on the DMD.

I think the Iron Maiden layout is quite good, with 2 extra flippers :) I should like to do something with this layout, I just need to find a nice theme :)

Yeah thats fair enough regarding concentrating on the pinball playing part etc. Yeah IM has a great layout. If you get to it and want help, I can help with 3D modeling and graphics if you want, I've been doing all these things for the last 20 years- just PM me. I've been playing around with art lately and seem to have created a style much like Franchi and Batman66 cartoon\comic style.

you can move those type of DMDs but you are not going to like the work involved in doing it.

you don't actually move the DMD you are acrtually creating a new one with the B2S server.

you first need to add B2s calls so that their is communication between the table and the B2s server.

you don't need much code change  see this two tables

DT version with no calls

https://www.vpforums...s&showfile=7288

table with modifyed code to support B2s score display

https://www.vpforums...s&showfile=8684

you are only worried about the Display  code you do not need any of the DOF calls.

once you have this

this is where most of your work will come from

as each DMD image needs to be imported into the dB2s project and triggered as a light with an image (aka snippet animation)

see this project

https://www.vpforums...s&showfile=7467

all  160  plus images where imported to the DMD screen and are being triggered by the proper ID (name)

I still haven't thought if I'll make a table with that layout :) The layout looks nice, but I have nothing in my mind just now :) If you like magnets take a look at Diablo, those magnets are evil :)
