Must say that i’m very glad someone takes this on for VPX.
Had this table and Time Machine as real tables and would love to have Secret Service also in VPX because is a real Nice and fast table in my opinion.

Looks awesome so far!  I can't wait to try this one.  I have never played this game before, the one time I had the chance, some older woman was playing it at pinfest, and she must have played about seven games in a row, and go figure the machine ended up malfunctioning on her and the owner took it down for the rest of the festival.  So I'm really looking forward to playing this one!

Update to table, some more plastics in, the flashers were added, lowered some of the walls, added white rubber bumpers to the top, worked a little on placement, and feel of play, added some un-tweaked GI lights, added Spy Bar Sign... Added Back Decal, a lot of little things, that are starting to add up.

What's typically the procedure when it comes to early releases ? Do people just put up Unfinished stuff, or is that considered poor community etiquete?

I feel bad that POTO is still kind of unfinished, but I've sat there staring at the code, and even playing and debugging and I can't figure out what's going wrong. This table seems to be mechanically functional, with the exception of the KGB Hideout, and I will try and get the code on that working, and then I'l lreplace all the rest of the plastics... and I need some decals for the whitehouse... it all takes a serious amout of time, but I also like feedback.

I think the best way to do it for Beta tables is to upload it to a dropbox, and share the link.  This allows everyone to try it, give feedback, upload their changes and fixes, once you feel its ready for an official release, upload it to the forums.  I know this is how its been done in the past on beta table testing

Right-O, ok I'm working on KGB Hideout now, and I added Joe's Spy Bar and Grill Plastic to the top right, and I think I might send some early invites via P.M. and then once the pink is gone do a wider Link, and then upload it.

I own real pinball machines but I am really loving my virtual pin I built.I just want to thank all you guys for all the hard work that you put into these tables to make them look great.I have the older secret service version that I play even though it's not that great looking it's still fun to play, can't wait to see how this one comes out as it's looking great. keep me posted.

Making more progress, getting all the images for the plastics has been tiring, as they've frequently have reflections,
and or grime on them, not to mention color correction, it's not simple that's certain.

Here's an Update, I hope to work on KGB HQ Next, and of course the Ferrari.

I forgot to mention, the KGB Hideout is working, it seems to have a bug, where sometimes the Visible Mesh seems to rotate Straight Up, where the hole is pointing at the ceiling, but the functionality still works, and I've only seen this when testing not on the full cab

UGH... The White House is a Pain, anybody who has the stickers scanned "Flat" or can get some images without the Ferrari 308, would be amazing... Because with the distortion in the images it's almost impossible to get it right... even with texture projection...

Current Progress isn't pretty, and will need a lot of touch-up...

For CIA I think I have what I need... I have some pictures of the roof and the window decals...

I persisted, and pushed through, some of the railings aren't 100% straight  :moon:  but it's there, and it works... On to KGB HQ

Alright everyone, V0.9.0 is up on VPU, and in submission, I don't know when they'll look at it, but it's not bad, all meshes (Pink) have been replaced, and the table is view-able, and functional.

I plan some updates on lighting, and functionality bug fixes if they should arise. The biggest ?? for me are still the KGB Hideout, as it does stuff sometimes, and other times not so much. Also the Center Blocker is still acting erratic for me, but if that's how the real thing is, so be it...

So there are still potential bugs, but at this time I need people to pound on it, so I can fix what's left over...

So My initial list of things to fix, after playing it on my 4K Cab. Table loading is slow, so I may try and reduce some image sizes, and see how that looks at 4K.

  1. The Elvis, and Spy on the left by the Whitehouse is missing.  (I forgot Elvis, I know ... shame shame shame...)
  2. The "Door Bell" Target behind the Spy Hideout forgot to texture him black.
  3. The Lane dividing the spy hideout with the street signs, has a lite that's not controlled by GI
  4. The White Flashers On the back of the cab don't Fire.
  5. When you get into the spy hideout, I feel there may be an audio cue missing, because it doesn't go into a ball search, yet it takes a while for it to return to the play field.
  6. I haven't done an update for any kind of led, or feedback, as I'm not at that point yet and I could try to add it, but would have no way to test it.
  7. Have to raise the wall of the main ramp, sometimes the ball can jump over the ramp, and into / below the white house, triggering all kinds of strangeness (due to sensors in whitehouse)

Along with a lighting re-balance, and maybe subtly shifting some bumpers around, I feel the right drain is WAY to wide... and gets hit often... have to look at the geometry of things, and see if it can be changed.

Table plays Nice only thing i noticed now is that the center blocker doesn’t stay up at all.
Oh and i thought i remembered that when the machine is in demo mode you get to see the lyrics on the displays.
Not very important offcourse but when i stopped playing thought About it when the song played

Here https://youtu.be/L6Toz1M6FuU is a Nice video About the futures of the table

Can you take the measures of the playfield?
we are trying to understand what the real dimensions of the Data East tables are.

Thanks.

I can't control what the rom feeds to the DMD, or I haven't figured that part out yet. There's also the possibility that it's a rom setting, I.E. the "7" Menu, or it's a switch I have to trigger in the table script.

As to the Center Blocker not staying up, what are we talking about ? The Yellow thing in the moiddle between the flippers? Yes I asked about that a while ago, if it was supposed to stay up, or act all crazy...  going up and down constantly... instead of staying up. I have to look at the logic and see if I missed triggering another "State" for the table to know it's up.
