I think it's because the animations use a 1 interval timer for logic. It's slightly more accurate, but if the script is lagging it'll go slow mo.

I'm uploading a new version that might fix the issue

Version 1.12 -
Modified skull mesh + animated it
New optional cannon speed: Supercharged
Optimizations: Animations now calculate at frametime by default. Playfield AO image resized from 8k to 4k.

Thank you very much nFozzy, I can confirm after a few games that I did not see a slow motion or a standing still gun in v1.12 again. :)

Thanks for the updates nFozzy. With version 1.12 all the light inserts are really dull, as if they are not coming on fully. Version 1.11 they were fine. Any idea as to what would cause that?

Edit: Just played a game and the lights work as intended in game, it is just when in attract mode that they are dull.

Cheers

The 'factory default' cannon speed seems to be a bit to slow. When the cannon is moving, the table starts searching for balls...

And somtimes the ball falls off the loaded cannon when moving.

I did not mention the out of the cannon falling pinball yet myself as I was not sure if I maybe released it myself. Therefore it was real what I have seen too. The gun/ cannon does always rotate in the wrong direction till it turns in the target area. I did not compare it to other T2 versions but I can remember it does it as described.

The (factory) default cannon speed is absolutely perfect on my cab, like the real one in original condition.
Do you have everything up to date, scripts etc?

I agree with Mark70 on this one - seems natural and no issues here.

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

Ok hopefully this finally fixes the issue. Should reduce script latency by a fair amount.

Version 1.12a -

Lamps now calculate at frametime by default

Fixed a script error with DynamicLamps that was causing excessive updates to start

Canon seems to run really slow for me on the default setting. Perhaps I’m a build behind. Using 10.4 final I thought

Nice table update nFozzy.  Plays at or near perfect.  I'm having an issue with the Instruction Card display.  When I press 'R' I can see it "animate" to display in the center of my playfield but when it stops it appears to be displaying to the back so is not visible.  When I release the key I see the card go back to the Apron.  Do you know why that's happening to me?

It plays good and I am also happy with it. My last curiosity from my last games was that I am able to have a very good target hit quote out of the plunger lane but my target hit quote from the cannon/ gun itself is very bad. If you can not see any possible relation from this information to the table and no other player complains, I need to adopt by getting used over more games within the time to this version.

I love the table — especially all the beautiful lighting options. I have to agree about ball trajectory out of the canon. Seems a little off.

I know there are some changes in the latest core.vbs which makes some tables to give errors on the solenoids callbacks. The older core.vbs was more forgiving on syntax errors. This table does not use "normal" callbacks, so I guess the core.vbs complains about some of those callbacks, and it gives the error. I guess there is not much to do with this table until the author fixes/updates the table.

Error on line 1 like that is more like ... hey, I crapped out and I don't have a clue to what the problem is.

Like JP said, there will be some tables that will start to break going to 1.8. In more than a few cases, authors have copied and pasted old - outdated routines instead of updating to more modern methods. The main goal for the devs has been to try not to make breaking changes, but, in some cases - there is no real way around it. Never have I seen so much improvements going from one minor release to the next. Amazing work !

There's a version of T2 by g5k that does work under 10.8, see here: https://vpuniverse.c...liams-1991-g5k/

I'd love to see an update by VPW or UnclePaulie, but I don't know if that's in the cards.
