Manples, were you talking about making a widescreen table fit your 16:9 monitor?  If so, there's some discussion and a link on the previous page.

What do people normally do with widebodies in cabinets?

Good question. I haven't found a good method with Paragon (obviously). I don't like stretching generally and couldn't find a good fit so I just left the black space above the table. Let me know if you come up with something good.

I don't claim to know what I'm doing here, but I just had a play to see what it would be like with a simple filler up top and whether it would be worth following up on???

Yeah, Rusty... that's what I had in mind when I mentioned a generic back wall.  I was thinking of maybe a wood or metal back wall or something, but anything to fill that black space.  Yours looks good to me.

*edit*  Maybe even a wheel logo for the table on some kind of generic backdrop?

As I said I don't know what I'm doing, so I've not done it as a back wall as such. Because I don't display the lockdown bars in my table setups, I've simply moved the lockdown to the top, resized it a bit and selected the new image in the options.  So while it looks similar, it won't react the same as a back wall would with table inclination etc.  Still, it's an easy mod for any noobs out there ;)

Yeah, that's what made me think of the wheel logos... anybody could take a wheel logo and plug it in just like you did for a back wall filler customized to the table.

I just threw this together as an example, so it doesn't look great, but it's in the same groove as yours.

*edit*  You could easily put perspective on it too, so it looks like a proper back wall like in your pic, above.

Yes. In VPX I see "Dimensions & Slope" in the separate option window. When I change the length of the table here (to make it longer) the result is a mess.

In the Table menu I see "Dimensions Manager" which is probably where you can change a table ratio. That's where I don't know what value to modify. Paragon is a "Bally (widebody)" table with 1257 x 1974 (1.5704 aspect ratio).

BorgDog said 16:9 is a ratio of 1.78 to but I can't change the ratio there. I'll probably feel stupid when I'll get the logic ;-)

Go into Camera Mode under the Table menu. Here you can adjust size, layback, field of view, inclination etc etc

It won't look right if you make it fill your screen however, as a wide body it will require too much vertical stretch and the table elements will be out of shape. See the earlier post in this thread re the use of filler.

If you want the proper aspect ratio, just set the x and y to "1" in the camera/light mode, like Rusty said, then adjust the Field of View setting until the sides of the table are stretched all the way.  This will be proper aspect ratio, so you will have a black space at the top and bottom of the table.  If you want to stretch the table, at that point, to fill your monitor, you just adjust the y scale setting.  You sacrifice proper aspect ratio this way, but you can adjust the x and y scale however you like.  The proper aspect ratio of the table will never match the ratio of our 16:9 monitors fully stretched, so you just adjust it to your preference.
