No offense, i backed about 180USD. There is no need to explain it mathematically. Why? because the idea behind the project is great. And the project needs some victims. It's a dream which you shouldn't give up. It costs but it's great, just great. I'm so sad.
My last reply probably was a little snarky (although I totally was serious about willing to talk to someone if they have serious capital) but I mean the following 100% sincerely:
If you are passionate about this and can find others equally passionate, why not form together and start an open source project based on top of the Unreal Engine 4 Pinball Construction Kit I linked?
It's really a strong start to build a modern pinball editor on. Had the Kickstarter succeed I was going to incorporate use a lot of what they had done into Pinball Labs.
Then there wouldn't even be a need for money to be involved and it could be a new modern open source solution. Unreal Engine is 100% free as long as it's not being used for commercial use.
I think that's a pretty good idea honestly. Start a thread about it and see who you can get interested in it.
