Like I was saying in my first post about this (#15 above) the setting of 0-7 is seemingly having no effect on the amount of reverb heard.  After deleting the NVRAM and getting what seems to be the default level 4 working, any other adjustment again seems ignored.  You can try yourself as I imagine anyone would agree that setting to 1 vs. 7 makes no difference in what's being heard.  It's a setting that is being accessed via the DMD (hidden = 0) then using the tab key like you would with regular MAME to access things like key inputs and will see a similar screen as with MAME, then you can access the dip switches menu that way.  Maybe it's this method that has issues as I've personally rarely used it this way so not sure even how much things altered in this method are supposed to work. In any case, setting the reverb through there to anything from 1 - 7 just doesn't seem to change the resulting sound.

could be that you have to restart VPM then?

(i also don't know how all this DIP stuff works, sorry, but i think Gerrit usually tests stuff in great length before he submits things)

Restarted VPM several times of course as part of my troubleshooting and initial assessment (that's always a basic / key thing) so I can guarantee you that's not it.  We already know something's weird as the effect never started until the actual NVRAM was deleted, which is not the normal case beyond a restart for getting a setting to take effect.
