Awesome , Thanks guys for the quick fix solution to the upper playfield issue. I agree with htamas the flippers are pretty good the way they are, but looking at this video :   , Romuluz seems to be right, anyway thanks again for all your hard work on this. Cheers

Hi me2010,

thank You for the video. This clarifies what flippers have been used originally.

Regards

Michael

Well, to me the video above shows that the flipper length is probably fine as is (even the top gap looks good), but they are a bit thicker and the lower flipper texture looks nice :)

Hi,

at the moment I use for all 4 flippers the transparent red flippers as You can see in the Eart Wind Fire WIP. I will change the decal of the lower flippers to red/white.

Hey Michael

Fantastic, yes the Earth Wind Fire WIP flippers look like the perfect size. :dblthumb:

Close up of playfield : http://pinball.teta....10/IMG_1200.jpg

If you can add sound to spinner that would be great too.

Very challenging table, i can't believe i haven't beaten the default high score yet 13.5 mil , i thought i was good at these hhahahaha , 2moro after work i will drink beer until i pass out or beat the default high score :bar3:

Best Regards

Jose

Ok, before i passed out at scoring 10 million the machine said " You're Good , but I'm Better "  :shooters:  Pinball Champ 1  / me 0

Thanks for the update : 1.1a  The Flippers are much better "Awesome", The Spinner Sound is great, ball roll sound addition adds a nice touch and the transparency of top playfield is Perfect ( you can see the great texture above top bumper now ) and the other fixes.

When you get a chance, can you check something : The Game goes quiet for a few seconds with speaker clicking , especially on the last ball for about 6-10sec , until a sampled voice kicks in, then all is back to normal. I tried changing roms to a 2011 version i have of pinchamp , but same thing. I've gone back to destruks 2013 version (its louder and samples are clearer) , but i will try the German rom pinchamp82 and post here if it fixes. Maybe we need a redump of the roms or maybe its just me.

Anyway, Great Update. Thank You

Thanks a lot for the updates.

As nice as the new flippers look, I felt the different size of the lower flippers changed the gameplay and not for the better... while the ball handling from the lower flippers was very good in the previous version, the new, thicker ones made aiming less accurate and sort of more random. So I attempted to play around with the flipper settings and I believe I was able to make the aiming better by setting rubber thickness to 5 and rubber offset height to 7.

I'm curious about the opinion of others regarding the optimal settings :)

I also replaced the Launch sound with  the "rail" sound from Farfalla, and added a plungerpull and plunger sound when the plunger is used (also from Farfalla and Jack's Open, respectively). Changed the plunger release speed to 150 since I felt it was too strong at 180.

This table recreation is excellent and brings back fond memories :)

Hey Micheal , thanks for checking , if no one else has the "Game goes quiet for a few seconds with speaker clicking" thing, then maybe its just my setup, could be a bunch of things like my vpinmame.dll etc etc etc ....

BTW, the Advance Multiplier is working fine on this version.

Htamas, i tried your settings, hard to tell if my aiming was better, criteria for test was 10 games go for -  Pinball Champ Spinner and The Tunnel  only - as many times as possible :

at rubber thickness to 5 and rubber offset height to 7 ( Ball control was better, Hard to tell a difference on aiming from original settings )

ended up using the settings used for top playfield flippers, rubber thickness to 6 and rubber offset height to 15 , seemed to work best for me, but I'm a little biased liking Old School Phat Flippers from early EM's

Cheers

Hey mfuegemann, thanks so much for the update 1.2  http://www.vpforums....&showfile=10184

Not only did you fix " The Game goes quiet for a few seconds with speaker clicking ", but the whole sound of the game is now crystal clear, don't know how you achieved that. Great stuff. :otvclap:

Hi me2010,

that is cool indeed. The playsound bug caused some strange behaviour, not at all times, not at all machines but it was there. The main reason for me was to fix missing trigger hits - great if Your issues have been fixed too.

Regards

Michael

I'm having an issue. The main flippers seem to lag and stick. tried some adjustments in the b2s but no luck. still keeps sticking in the upward position and sometimes they don't respond. I have a few tables with this issue but mainly this one for now. Wonder if I have wrong backglass version? Very sweet table though otherwise. Seems I'm the only that has mentioned this problem.

definitely caused by B2S since it goes away when I turn it off. Any suggestions are welcome. :o)

Hi Mark,

I planned to lift all my tables to VPX but at the moment real life workload is occupying me too much. Maybe some time later.

I just played this table again, it is the best Zaccaria table in my opinion and Michael made a great VP Version.

If you speak german (or want to hear a different voice) don't miss the german ROM! It is really good: http://www.vpforums....ds&showfile=604

I hope this super fun table can be ported to VPX someday.
Thanks again Michael !
