Weird that you have problems with the dB2S.

I had no issue at all, only thing I had to change was setting the controller like in any other table and the dB2S worked just fine. I didn't even have to maintain the XML for it because it recognized the dB2S by the file name.

Well, it could just be a memory problem, I just have 2 gig. However, I have not had a similar problem with any other table.  Usually, switching to dB2S on a table eliminates stutter and makes it play much smoother.  I was already running the dB2S BG on the older Creature table just fine.  Like I said it might be that the new table has too many bells a whistles for my older system, but you would think if that was the case some of these other tables would have caused a problem.

I even tried setting VP to it's lowest min. settings but still get the same errors.   They will either find something in the code that needs tweaked when they add the B2B, or I will have to upgrade my system sooner than I had planned :)

Update: added the latest table version and the latest VP Rev. 586. Still works fine with UVP but dumps out with B2S, Curious.

As far as memory usage goes, you can't really compare this table with the previous mods because this is a graphical mod that now uses 2048x resolution images whereas the old ones maxed out at 1024x.  2048x does have a history of giving some people memory/texture errors, in which case try setting your max texture limit to 1024x in VP.  It is possible that your system or GPU doesn't have enough memory.  But as for what kind of impact that would have on B2S, I have no clue as I don't use B2S.  But considering that some people seem to be running B2S with this just fine, maybe this is an issue of not enough resources?  I really don't know.

Anyhow, I just got B2B collision & ball rolling sound added to the table, couple other small tweaks.  & I made Sheltemke a desktop version of this too.  I'll be sending him the new versions now.

Thanks for the detailed explanation regarding KISS, Rob. I was wrong then thinking that it always should start at K.

As for layback, I also noticed some graphics oddities with my above settings. Seems like the table needs some more inclination.

So my current settings are now 6 / 25 / 70 / 270 / 1.283 / 2 / -346 / 200. Still tinkering with this, but I'm not aware of graphics problems so far (which certainly doesn't mean there aren't any :))

I think you are right, I don't see any glitches with these settings although with me not being a FS user & Sheltemke is, I'd rather not make final decisions on any FS views.  You might be on the right track here though & you or anybody can post anything else that might work best.

I think I read somewhere in this post that the creature hologram isn't working 100% like it should be. Will this be fixed for the next version release?

Since the Creature hologram is missing those first few frames of animation, you don't get the quick glimpse of him after being awarded a letter. The only time he's visible is during "the movie" attract sequence and after being found during multiball.

Green dude will be working like in the last version. Quick glimpse after scoring a F-I-L or M letter, then the full monty later on.

Thanks for this awesome table!

Interesting, your specs are VERY similar to mine, except for the second video card & LED wiz and the fact that you are running XP and I'm Win7?   Hmm... Could win7 be creating too much overhead?

Great looking and great playing table.  The ball seemed a bit large in my cabinet so I used the layback settings htamas provided (6 / 25 / 70 / 270 / 1.283 / 2 / -346 / 200).  Now it looks even better.

Thanks!

For the LEDWiz users who have a rotating 'cop' beacon, add switch #38 (W38) to your Ledcontrol.ini and you can activate your beacon during multiball.

After playing this non-stop for a couple days now, I've gotta say that this is one of the best mods to come out in a long time!

Thanks to everyone who contributed on this !!!! I even like the new layback settings htamas posted.

This game is awesome to look at and play with the new flashers and crisp playfield. The new hologram looks very clean and high resolution.

I may be crazy, but the ball action/physics even play alot better.

I'm very happy with this game and this is FOR SURE in my top 10 VP tables :)

Congratulations to all involved in making a wonderful masterpiece.

You are very kind Aaron James :). Well as i said i just did the graphics all VP thing/fix made by rob046(and the flashers/creature animation by thewool). I have some little bad feeling about this, hope i not disturbed him too much, but i am someone who never really care the road if something very good waits after the road...(if you know what i mean). And becouse i playing this too at weekends i think it happened.... :) This table is amazing thx to Williams and if you have meat, onion, salt and pepper it's hard to cook something wrong :) I redid the main playfield just like 5-6 times(oh wait, its going to be too dark...well now it's cool but the K i s s must be more red..hmm the girl skin is not looks natural so i asked my wife to come and check it :) When she choosed one posibility i compared to original table shots and we redid again, she were angry after the 2. time :)  etc. etc.).  :)

I glad you enjoy this mod Aaron James. Have a nice day. :)
