Table looks great, haven't had a chance to properly play it yet, but one thing I did notice right away was that my PinMame default settings for this table were almost all wrong.  I went through the manual & set all my settings to the recommended defaults, not the least of which being the proper sound settings (by default I had chimes).

So I'll share my nvram, attached.

Also, just an FYI, this table seems set to 16:9 WS.  I have a 16:10 monitor, so I had to set my x-scale to 1.025.

Your settings are probably for the 7-digit ROM then, this uses the 6-digit one. It's deliberately set up to be fast and flowing, but a tough beast to wrap around with being *too* difficult. To me the 7-digit rom on Bally tables of this period is almost like an admission of defeat, a blanket statement of 'yeah, we know this game lets you get stupid ammounts of bonuses, but what can you do'.

No these settings were just for the default rom you use.  Its pretty normal for pinmame to never have proper factory defaults on these tables that use dip switch settings, like I said this table even defaulted to chimes for me which I doubt anybody uses that setting in real life.  I usually configure the factory settings, then share my nvram like above.

I think I agree with you on the 7 digit rom, I could care less if I use them in PinMame because if I'm regularly nearing 7 digits on a table made with 6 digits, then that tells me that I need to make the table more challening (as opposed to adding a digit to allow for the inflated scores).  But to each their own, I think some people might like racking up crazy points & having long games?

okay my download of it does not work at all

it says that I need pinmame but I think I have the latest version of it

so what gives now? all other rom based pins work

I tried it in both 9.1.5 and 9.1.4 to no avail

I love this table, job well done. I do need help with special though (the ojutlanes are all I have scored so far) because they don't score special when lit. I hit F6 and see nowhere to adjust except outlanes to have both on or have them alternate. Is the default setting to not have special score anything and how do you adjust this?

You need to set 'high score feature' to 'replay'. This is actually the game type.

Great looking table, I really need a newer computer to properly judge the game play, that said it seems very good between the occasional stutter, though that happens on most table for me these days. :(

Strangely enough the earlier builds of VP9 actually ran better here then VP8, not so any more. Actually never played this one that I can recall, guess not many made it here down under or at least not this West side of the island. On the subject of these earlier SS games almost needing a 7 digit rom seems reasonable to me in a lot of instances most of those games could be clocked, especially with 5 balls. I can recall clocking most of them on a good game and the tactic of tilting the machine before clocking a machine of that era to obtain the 3 replays for highest score was common practice.

Also those pop bumpers seem a little strange on the FS conversion, with the centre piece seeming to render taller then it should.

Thanks Eala, nice!

They should be taller than normal on a FS version, given that they should look 3D and at the right size when you view the playfield at a cab angle, and the perspective warps them back to the proper size.

& you have to remember that people are so used to seeing things in a certain distorted way on FS that they might forgot how an actual table would look from a real players perspective.  Most FS still don't have enough angle/layback IMHO.

For 'enough' read 'any'. I spent the last couple of hours playing with layback settings, now that the editor let's you see what your doing while you experiment instead of blindly stumbling in the dark, and was just about to post a thread on this very subject.

I've made some adjustments to the FS version and played it for the last hour. I really like the feel of this table Eala.  Its fast and yet precise as the ball rounds the curves and hits objects.

The little sound increments are nice cues. The more I play it the more I see little refinements in the lighting and the switch rollovers, the bumper lights, glowing extra ball lamp, etc.

Perhaps you'd consider animating the spot targets, though I see they are built with many ramps so its no doubt the reason they are static.

There's a thread on that very subject where I explained the texture-stack principle of cutting out the default VP light source on vertical walls, and after a few repies Toxie trumped it with, to paraphrase, "You're going to THESE lengths to kill the light source? Right, an option to turn it off is SO going in there." So yes; in the next stable build release we'll have easy-to-animate targets again that are as uniformly bright and vivid as we've been wanting them to be for ages - at that point, the table will get an update for them.

Minor update fix, includes plunger animation (mainly for FS), moved arch rail posts, and drop target elasticity which was way too high.
