Who needs all the old authors and whiners from the past, we have JP now!!! smile.gif smile.gif
JP is the best invention since creation of VP, hope to see him continuing creating quality releases for a while. dblthumb.gif otvclap.gif

Thanks for a great update JP!

Hehe, I could have never done anything without the older authors smile.gif I made my first vpm table in 2006, that's 6 years making tables, so I start to be one of the "oldies", hahaha.

I appreciate the improvements. Very elaborate and density graphics specifically on the playfield.
The table plays great, Thanks!

TedB - You have to be careful with such statements.
This can easily misunderstand by one or the other, in spite of the smileys.

No worries Walter, I was just making some fun and was referring to this thread that was turning into a "it used to be so much better in the past thread" http://www.vpforums....topic=18484&hl=

IMO there are so much more relaxed, dedicated an fine people now at vpforums.org than vpf.com ever had smile.gif JP is one of them, and I consider you to one of them as well. Based on JP's reply I am sure he understood I was only joking.

I know some people can be a bit sensitive and jumpy lately, but don't let the UW incident (that I think was indeed such a misunderstanding) get us down and I hope it will still be allowed to make a joke once a while wink.gif

Sure, TedB - of course. I understand.
I can't barely survive a working day without having fun and making jokes.
And I'm sure it was more enthusiastic about JP's talent how beautiful and true-to-life VP tables are meanwhile.

First of all, Thanks for your awesome work. All the tables I've played from you have an attention to detail and a playability almost like the real thing.

I'm spanish as you JP but for the sake of everyone and for better understanding I'll write in english.

Well I just love this last update to your Tales from the Crypt recreation but, I'm having graphical issues that I don't have with other tables you've made for VP 912 as The Flinstones or Attack from Mars for instance.

When I set video mode to 640 x 480 everything looks fine but in a monitor with a native resolution of 1680x1050 everything looks blurry and the VPinmame window even at normal size it's gigantic:

Then as I increase resolution the background image starts to fade into a blue colour and the playfield starts look weird. Too slightly though but still too blurry to play at 800x600:

Then at the next step 1024x768 things go noticeably wrong:

And at my native resolution doesn't look good at all. Sometimes the playfield looks yellow, and sometimes a weird shadow appears that even makes lights invisible. This happens regardless I use 16 or 32 bit colour modes:

I got the previous version of this table but the emulated shaking the original table has, affects the ball physics and is weird to play. So I'm really interested in this update.

Similar things happen with a recreation of Monster Bash also for VP 912 but in this case just the background image looks bad. Horizontal colour lines appear but well, since this is not Moster Bash support thread I won't post anyimage here.

So any suggestions on how to solve this problem are welcome. Thanks in advance and keep up the awesome work!

Hey Toyoto:

That's easy to fix smile.gif
The reason:
The images used in my latest tables are bigger than 1024x1024.

The solution:
You have two options:

1.- Turn On Hardware Device Rendering. With this on VP can use bigger images. After turning on you must quit VP and start it again. You turn this on/off in the Preferences, Video Options.

2.- If you have an older graphic card and it can't work with Hardware Rendering, then you are missing a lot (better details in the tables, better transparency, better ball flow...). So run and buy a new graphic card!. Ok, ok, smile.gif The solution 2 is to limit the size of the images to 1024. You do that in the same preferences, video options. But still I mean the best is to go an by a new graphic card smile.gif

¡Hombre!

Saludos

T.

Yes, Toyoto, it is better to write in English in this forum so everyone understand what it is written smile.gif
I'll take a look at that light and if I make a revision of the table then I'll change it.
