My buddy just got a real table a few weeks ago. We are both avid VP fans. He's willing to tear apart the game to
Let me grab some high res shots of the playfield. Any suggestions on the best way to capture a playfield for you use in VP?
For anything on the table that we may want to 3D model you can see part way down this post under the heading "RESOURCES" to see how to best take photos for 3D modeling.

In terms of table building you want to follow some similar principles that I outline in the post I mention above, you want high def photos with good lighting, try to set up lights so that there's no flash or light flares on the table and if there is take multiple photos so that it can at least be pieced together without the flare. You want photos to be as straight and square as possible, to be clear, not angled or skewed, table plastics for instance are best photographed laid out flat on a flat surface and then shot from directly above. Another way you could go about it is pegging them to a cork board or something and taking the photos with a tripod. The important thing here is you want square, HD, clear photos, so use the best possible camera you have available to you. If possible take photos on both a white and a black background, and lastly take LOTS of photos, especially of table elements which are unique to the table.
Hope this helps, good luck.

I havent looked at the table but can you try increasing the physical wall parameter for that ramp? It was mentioned about creating a VPx table - since 85vett posted a nice pf redraw but I dont believe anyone has taken up the project.
