Thanks Elton biggrin.gif

Had a bit of a working bee today. My brother came over for a few hours and we got stuck into it.
Put the playfield cabinets together and give one of the monitors a test run to see how its going to look.
Very happy with it so far.

wow looks great. what two buttons are you going to have in the front? it seems like you need more then two but i like the look of just one or two, more clean.

Thanks Kizam23. Just using start and Menu button. FPLaunch now has all the other options in the pause menu so it makes it so only one button is needed. I didn't find that I used the other menu buttons like 'flyer' and 'how to play' much on my first cabinet and certainly like the clean look myself.

I like the analogous color scheme - the blues and greens have a cool, almost eerie feel to them.

Thanks for the comments Elton and T-800.

Got a parcel today... my custom PCB's for the LED's going into my cabinet.

I have a board there for the playfield and one for the backbox.
The one for the playfield will have a pot just in the coin door to be able to adjust the brightness of the playfield LEDs up or down.
The little green board in the pic below is a DC - DC converter that will control the output voltage.

Thanks Russ and Zeb.

I have been using this guy Russ - Laens PCB Orders

He is all about group ordering of PCBs. So I was able to order 3 copies of each board for $5 per square inch.
Great guy to deal with for noobs like me. Think he does a bulk run that you might be more interested in Russ.

Lol @ Elton. From a Welshman, I will take that as a compliment. biggrin.gif

About 2 weeks to get the boards made Russ, then delievery to the land of Oz.
He is mainly about protoboards for tinkerers like me. Just the 3 boards per order is perfect for me.
No where else I have found even offers this service. Let me know if you have somewhere Russ.

Lol. I had a planbee put me onto him a little while ago. And he is just a normal Aussie. We are all nuts here mate tease.gif
Ask Elton... I think he is from your neck of the woods and he has spoken to me enough to verify that I am a complete nut job. biggrin.gif

Will check out eevblog and see where he get his done in Oz. Didn't even think to look there.
Mind you already placed an order at iteadstudio...... biggrin.gif

We expect nothing less from our Aussie cousins; I can confirm that Maxx is a total Q-ball [ but with some skills with a soldering iron wink.gif ]
