After a long time the list has been fully updated. From now on only official announcements are taken into account and thus no "Unknown" tables are being added to the list anymore. This also means that "Whoa Nellie! Big Juicy Melons" which may be produced by Stern Pinball, Inc. hasn't been added to the list yet. Furthermore the IPDB has updated some of the bingo machine producers, but for completeness I'll keep the current bingo machine producers listed. From now on this topic will be updated more regularly again, so please post the updates you're aware of.

Not official yet, but there is speculation that a new company with the name Rare Bird Pinball is planning to do a reproduction of The Pinball Circus.

What about the roms? and how done was the code any ways?
And that game likely will have a high cost to build.

Although there is no official announcement yet, it is speculated that there will be produced 1100 tables. I don't know whether the ROMs will be updated or rewritten from scratch, but it is said that the production tables will have eight game modes. The rumors of a third prototype, which would have been shipped to Germany, still exist and seem to be backed by Rare Bird Pinball. Since Rare Bird Pinball is registered by a Dutch company, they may have gained access to this third table's ROMs. For now I wait on an official announcement though, which shouldn't be too far away if the speculation is correct.
There is also talk that the custom tables The Outbreak and Forbidden Planet may be produced in the future. The same was the case for a reproduction of Wizard Blocks, but that project was never started. For this reason I won't add speculations to this list anymore until confirmed by their manufacturers. Of course this doesn't mean that officially announced projects are actually started, which was the case for the reproduction of Kingpin and most probably for the reproduction of Cactus Canyon as well. For this reason I'm considering to remove these two tables from the list. Cancelled projects will than include solely projects that were actually started and proof for this start is supplied, like Atari Arcade Classics.

According to WhizBang Pinball there already is an assembly line for Whoa Nellie! Big Juicy Melons. I think it's a test to see if there's a market for newly designed retro games. Whoa Nellie! Big Juicy Melons was already a completed game, so that reduces the R&D costs heavily which may be an important reason for this project to take off at Stern Pinball, Inc. I furthermore expect that there will be a market for this type of tables, although it may heavily depend on the prices they're going to ask.

I'm with you, Themer. Price will definitely be the make-or-break aspect for Stern with Big Juicy Melons. I think it will really take off if the price is right.

I see the same thing - price will drive the sales on that one. Unfortunately I don't see it being sold for less than $4K MSRP.

You're talking about budget tables, but that should be considered in comparison to what you get. If you can get an advanced pinball machine for $ 5.000,- to $ 5.500,-, what Python Anghelo and some other companies are promising right now, I highly doubt that $ 4.000 will be low enough for these 'budget tables' what you call them. King of Diamonds by Retro Pinball LLC sold for around $ 3.700,- as well, but at the time there was no other competition than Stern Pinball, Inc. and MarsaPlay S.L. selling New Canasta for around $ 5.500,-. By the way, Stern Pinball, Inc. did supply Retro Pinball LLC with hardware, so they're not entirely new to the EM / retro market.

i think if they seriously want to produce a budget table, they will need to move a good chunk of the assembly/manufacturing offshore.
It still seems like theres LOTS of manual labor required to build these machines- and that a perfect candidate for offshore assembly.
