Not really, that was a different laptop.

Just tried it, still slow as hell. I have a ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470. Vista. 2GHZ Dual-Core (Prolly not relevant). 4 gigs of RAM. Something doesn't fit here, and I think it's the card. Tried your STTNG mod too. Same result. WITH 640x480! NO SHADOWS! NO ANTI-ALIASING! NOTHING! Jesus. That's awkward as hell.

The McD

EDIT: Quick note. This is the same laptop that plays Scapino's Cirqus Voltaire on VP8 with 1280x800 resolution. FLUID.

EDIT 2: What the hell? Hardware rendering? Irrelevant. Resolution? Irrelevant. Every other goddamn setting in the VP editor? Irrelevant! I can do whatever I want. Nothing works. As a last resort I'll try Scapino's speedfix. Might work.

First off, have to say I really love the shake mechanism, it adds a ton of fun when mixed with VP9 nudging. The table looks great, haven't had any graphical issues or slow down (even during multiball) using 1st VP9 release.

However during multiball, after about 30 seconds of play all balls but 1 disappeared from playfield while taking out upper targets for all wrestlers mode. Then when I lost that ball I had a new ball drop on upper level ( No bonus or detection of lost ball) and continued racking points till I drained that ball. The ball kept redropping in the ring 3 times before it finally awarded my end of ball bonus. Final score 1,760,000,000 without buy in.

I don't know the game, so if this was supposed to happen....that's fine, just didn't seem right.

Thanks for all the efforts on this gem Noah and Destruk

You may need to see how much memory is being allocated to your video and adjust it in your bios.

Thanks for the gentle hint Noah. I should have figured that one out myself. It did the trick.

This table is a great effort. The wider perspective gives a new awareness to the shots, has made me appreciate the design more than I had previously. From the apron to the shake feature, nice attention to detail throughout.

Thanks everyone for the compliments. This is my first recreation, and I must say, I wish I had found VP sooner than I did! I'd have probably had 50 by now. smile.gif

@ Humid - I am OCD about images and graphics. I can't leave them alone until they are absolutely perfect. Not a good thing, if you're trying to put out a table per month to six weeks. I am just elated as to how it turned out.

Note to members that want to make tables: Recreations are easier than originals. I suggest you start with some early 70's tables and work your way up. I am forming a mentor/pupil program for those that want to learn here.

Awesome Noah, I do intend to to get into making tables and any easy, practical tutorials to get started makes it even easier to get into. If somehow all the tutorials, such as Scapino's methods could be condensed into one, or at least saddled together, would be a great thing.

This has to do with your screen resolution. What is yours set at?

I'm also fairly sure most video cards allow you to enable/disable drawing off screen.

Sooo... XP installed. VP9 is playable, tables with hardware rendering still play like *AHEM*. Time to try the lite version.

I'm thinking your video card doesn't utilize system resources under DX10 as it does with DX9, since VP is optimized for DX9.

That's my best guess...

Well, since VP9 wouldn't play at all under DX10, I guess it's the best of two worlds what I have right now.

The McD

EDIT: Whoa, forgot I already played the table. Not much new to say, plays like a beauty, the shaker is irritating to say the least (guess it's a matter of getting used to it). Great job overall.

the shaker is part of the fun of this table. Without it, it would be the Royal _ _ _ _ _ _?

Anyhow, with the improved physics, it's easy to nudge it where you want it to go. Have fun!

Royal Rumble seems a bit "smooshed" or wide and stumpy using VP9. Is there some setting I should try and mess with to make the table longer and not so wide? You're off to a fine start Noah, I just had a few games earlier today. and I look forward to new stuff from you. This hobby is addictive as hell.

The table is a widebody, though they probably could have gotten away with a standard cabinet. What resolution are you running it on?

I tried changing screen resolution under hardware rendering but none of the settings worked. Any more thoughts?
