Curious, those that are playing this on the cabinet how are you accomplishing it without a media pack?

You dont need a media pack to play any table. You can dload bg,wheel etc separately..The media packs are put together for convenience.....

I've tried that with others, and it didn't go well and wasn't able to get the game to play. I'll try it again with Nugent. I was also under the assumption with the media pack it also include images needed in each directory also when copying the hyperpin folder to appropriate area. Thanks.

Notes on my Nuget B2S FS version should help you:

*FIX* for Nugent "ROM" Sounds not working:

First check that you have the zip file in your vpinmame/samples directory. Can & should stay zipped. I believe this file is called s250u3.zip  (available from the Getting Started links above).

Load the table, find this line near the bottom and uncomment it (remove the apostrophe). I figure I left it out since I couldn't figure out what it was used for - I do now :-)

     .AddFrame 205,169,190,"Electronic sound",&H00400000,Array("electronic chimes",0,"computer type sounds",&H00400000)'dip 23

Play the table, press F12 - this brings up the vpinmame sound window - verify/change this to 0 and click OK. Don't bother with F3 yet ..

Press F6. The Electronic Sound option should show now, Click "computer type sounds" radio button. Press Ok. Press F3.

That should do it.. should have sounds now..Should only need to do this the one time.
