Unfortunately we needed to correct some file scrambling within the SMB sets:

For smb3 one needs the 'new' "dsp733-2.bin".

For smb1 one needs to replace "gprom1.bin" with "gprom.bin" (which has been renamed to "g733-1.bin").

For smb its the other way round, replace "gprom.bin" with "gprom1.bin" (which has been renamed to "g733.bin"). One also needs the 'new' "dsp733.bin".

But sticking with smb2 is also perfectly fine, there have not been many changes smb2 -> smb3.

Thanks, @toxie! It works after I renamed the "dsprom2.bin" to "dsp733-2.bin" in the smb.zip.

Thank you very much for the hard work and continuous support you provide!  :dblthumb:

After the update (vpx 10.7.2 final and vpm 3.5) I noticed that Super Mario Brothers doesn't start. It's referring to a ROM error as if I'm using an incorrect ROM file. It worked fine with previous vpx versions. The ROM directory contains both smb.zip and smb3.zip. The package containing the pre-nv files has copied to the right place, the smb.vbs file is also in the script folder. I tried deleting the nv ram, downloading the vpx and ROM files again, but the error persists.
Currently, only the smb2.zip ROM is willing to load and work properly.
Since it worked correctly before with the smb3 ROM and besides me, two other friends of mine also have the same error since we updated to 10.7.2, I think the error is in the vpx.
Anybody else have this error since updated to 10.7.2?

After updating to 3.5
Super Mario Brothers doesn't start. For me it's the 3.5 Error comes up ---Terminated before initialized check the rom path or rom file

It worked fine with previous 3.4 versions. The ROM directory contains both smb.zip and smb3.zip

Thanks, @Outhere, it looks like solved as you can read above!

I noticed that the SDL2 and the SDL2_ttf.dlls were updated in the VPinballX_GL-10.8.0-497-8018d63-Release-gl-win-x86 build. At least they are different sizes than previous and then they are no longer present in any build since v497. Not sure what they are used for and if they are still required and if they are required do we keep the older versions or the new/updated versions that are with v497, or does it matter? :) Thanks

:) Thanks

Probably have to wait for 10.8 beta to officially start

WTH! The images on the table just vanish randomly. I have now seen this happen to about 4 tables on the cab. Whats causing this and is there a fix?

Looks like the images are disconnecting from the objects on the table, and the tables on my cab are going to pieces.

10.8, how can that be? If thats the case, its not on purpose.

Regardless, is this the latest stable version out now?

At least they are different sizes than previous and then they are no longer present in any build since v497. Not sure what they are used for and if they are still required and if they are required do we keep the older versions or the new/updated versions that are with v497, or does it matter? :) Thanks

These dlls ARE still included, e.g. see https://github.com/v...runs/3395725814

You can always use the newest one there, these should be backwards compatible with older VPVR and VPX.8 beta versions.

@wrd1972: never saw that one happening   :/

do older VPX versions (e.g. VPX 10.7 final) still work for you?

That's weird, I see them there as well as with other versions. I always unblock my zips but maybe during the transfer from my network PC to my Cab they took a hike :) Thanks for that

At some point one virus scanner detected a thread in one of the SDL dlls (false positive), so maybe thats why.

Sometime, when someone is bored
could we look at xinput API and analog nudging, which presently does not work

dinput API works as far as nudging, but has no facilities for dinput feedback (or so it seems)
