10.8.0 beta 372 weird crash while resizing alphanumeric displays using the handles in game mode. vpx just suddenly closed in the middle of the resize but b2s server kept running. vpx did not generate a crash.txt. table was Bigus modde DE time machine. using last Freezy dmddevice.dll 1.10.3.0 and lucky pin2color 1.1.0.0

I realize this is a beta vpx but wanted to toss it out there anyway

that is not a function of vpx but of freezys
you might check dmddevice log
freesyz may have crashed, knocked out vpinmame, which knocked out vpx

yeah unfortunately I didn't check the log before restarting again so it got wiped. I cant seem to force a crash again so could have been a fluke. Thanks Wiesshund

better than being a constant i guess?

I think I found a bug, unless it is only on my computer :)

If you add a spinner to a table, and you removed the "Reflection Enabled" and then save and close the table. When you open the table again the "Reflection Enabled" is selected/checked again.

Not a big bug, just a little annoying :)

Question: I've only recently got back into this hobby after being away for 6 years and currently run 10.7.0. What all changed between 10.7.0 and 10.7.2? If one is actively working on a table in 10.7.0, is it worth going to 10.7.2 at this point, or is it better to wait for an official release? I've been hesitant to go to 10.7.2 after reading about all the various issues, and a lot of this topic I've found confusing and over my head.

I see only benefits going from 10.7.0 to the latest. In the beginning, going from what I would call a pretty stable 10.6 release, into 10.7; well, there has been many changes, improvements, but also bugs introduced. Since you are staying on an old release, they still exists for you. Hope this gives you a hint on what to do :)

In short, get the one that toxie posts here, or follow the github 10.7.2 branch. Master isn't recommended, according to the devs. They are still merging things between vpvr and regular vpx.

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

The blurriness is already being tracked and vbousquet will look after it, but thanks for the report and pics!

Whoops, indeed. It wasn't saving/loading for Spinners, will also be fixed in 10.7.2 final then.

VPVR will basically fade out and VPX 10.8 will contain all the features of VPVR instead (if all goes according to the plan :))

So there will be no more official release of VPVR until then. Just grab a prerelease from here instead: https://github.com/v...l/vpvr/releases

VPX 10.7.2 will most likely be released on the weekend, i'm still waiting for more feedback ( https://github.com/v...runs/3265159102 is the very latest RC)

Should this rev. 366 work the same as Thalamus's compiled version did ?

I believe we would maybe do a disservice right now reporting anything from master here. Especially now, so close to "stable" release.

If you believe it is a bug, then it is probably best to see if it is reproducible, then report via github for now. I've seen oddities on my end too by the way. Right now, maybe as expected.

No, as 10.8 will be the elimination of vpxvr as a separate program, so it isnt even really ready for testing yet

It should, yes. So (hopefully) no startup issue/hang.

I forgot to mention, that audio bug where switching between VPX and VPVR, and visa versa, that resulted in the 7.1 (enhanced) setting dropping to Stereo for VPVR has been fixed some time ago. I can now leave both VPX and VPVR set on 7.1 enhanced....and they stay there :)

@Toxie, Build 366 works 100% fine on my cab. Tested opening and loading the tables, running via double clicking the table files and use via popper, all fine.
