Currently I have a workaround for the table not loading issues on my 4K cab

For someone experiencing the issue, change the Max Texture Dimension from Unlimited to 3072 in the Video/Graphics Options and all the tables from scottacus and VPW load fine without compromising the graphics quality

 

I think the unlimited feature should have a limit! :D

@Mrtr32: Could it be that you have a newer Freeimage.dll in your directory?

Cause that caused the scottacus table crash for me with the 10.7.2RC build.

If i use the 'standard' Freeimage.dll from the github package, then all is good. Could you also please double check?

Tried Mariner (Ball 1971) from scottacus with the lastest 10.7.2RC from your previous post and I have the same issue

 

The table don't start with Max Texture Dimension to Unlimited

 

Changed to 3072 and the Mariner table load without issue.

But you also used the Freeimage.dll from that package, right?

What is the error when it doesn't load?

Extracted all the files from the package to my Visual Pinball folder and the Freeimage.dll included.

 

No error, Visual Pinball stop load/render and the table don't start.

 

Only when I set Max texture size to Unlimited!

working ok for me. my freeimage.dll is dated 1/22/2019 version 3.17.0.0 and 1,334kb size if that helps

 

Same, loads fine with max texture size set to unlimited

both at resolution 2560x1440 and 3840 x 2160


If you feel the need to empty your wallet in my direction, i don't have any way to receive it anyways

Spend it on Hookers and Blow

Rc2 here and also cannot open GB with or without the Memory Usage changes.  Opens...hangs...crash out.  Desktop only 1440p with 3080ti.  Haven't tried 4k cab.

Question about all these revisions, is the only difference the exe. file or are there any other changes in the package?

At the moment its all just about the .exe.

 

But in the past/future dlls and scripts also change(d).

If someone else could test.. With the new version on Tales from the crypt with color rom it loads then plays Maybe 5sec then looks like the rom freezes then vpx crashes.. I go back to 289 and it plays..

I just ran 4 games of TFTC from VPW changing VPX graphics settings between and all was good. Using 10.7.2 RC with i10700 RTX 3080 Windows 10 Home

could it be a vpm crash (which will take out vpx along with it)

 

pinmame 1.42  Nothing in crash.txt

Just updated vpinmame to the latest build .. so far so good... :)

ran vpw and bigus versions and no crashing. I did notice bigus version guillotine targets out of synch with the dmd on the skill shot but that could be the pup pack interfering, not sure. One log you should check is the DmdDevice.log as it will tell you a lot about whats going on.

I'm on vpx 10.7.2 RC0. vpinmame-sc-3.5 rev 188.
