yes, several times, but not all the time.  I also noticed the drop down for Go to Sub/function would populate with several copies of each sub.

I'm currently working some scope sensitive parsing, hence the multiple appearances of dims in the dropdown. - I didn't intend to release until finished but the script line lengths needed extending.

But I'm very worried about the copy/paste crashing, late night for me!

Thanks guys! Your encouragements are most welcome at the moment! :D

I prefer not to drip feed updates especially when there's some heavy work going on, it may be functional but looks rubbish and is hard to work with when half way through an implementation.

As it turns out it may be a 3rd party this time (I hope, as my pride will suffer!)

ok.... so I've been experimenting with this for a while now... in the backdrop settings the three areas I been messing with are the

X and Y Scale and the Z offset in VP10

my theory here is, the closer the X and Y Scale are to "1" (1:1 scale) the better because there is no upscaling?  am I correct in thinking this??

the way i'm accomplishing this is to use higher negative number in the Z Offset

now this could be just my old tired diabetic eyes, but the PF/plastics graphics on most tables I've done this with seem to be cleaner and sharper .... again is it me??... or can this be true??

Yes! The xy scale together with the layback can squash the ball if you set then to a high. The anti squash ball mod in the video settings compensate that but not completely. The rule is if you need to scale, and you probably have to scale, the try to scale both x and y about the same amount. When you scale y too much you get an egg shaped ball. The negative z offset is just for zooming the whole table nearer to the camera.

those setting are from AFM.... I was hoping someone else would confirm it was sharper.... I guess it was just wishful thinking...

Not necessarily upscaling, the image is stretched and skewed no matter what you do, but it at least preserves the correct dimensions of the table. In old vp versions I did see cleaner graphics after adjusting backdrop but I never pinned it down to 1 setting being the difference maker.... Except scaling it way down and adjusting z offset to fit the screen again. Hasn't been an issue for me in vp10 though

@ICPjuggla  I believe that is how all my installs look

Speaking of installs, I just got a new computer and it reminded me once again how much of a pain in the a$$ it is to install VP, b2s, vpinmame, etc.  I don't know if it's come up, but is there going to be a nice new installer with our nice new VP that puts everything where it belongs and all that fun stuff?

I am not picking on anyone or their Balls, but I just can't seem to find any I like and always find myself going to the VP default.

I would like to see a set of balls done realistically.

 Super shiny Bright Balls

 Super shiny average Balls

 Super shiny dark Balls

 Old rusty wrinkled Balls

Colored Balls (Never the Blue Balls, we get enough of those from our significant other)

This set should be included in all tables as a way for each user to be able to choose what they like best.

As it stands now people that have played my cab over the holidays say that the scratches decal makes the ball look too fake, as the pattern doesn't change much. Also seems to be either too much reflection bloom or not enough on most tables.

Just that every time I go back to my real tables the Balls are what seems to be the most noticeable. Everything else is looking so great it is hard to find anything that needs improvement visually, in my opinion. Keep up the great work all and thank you for your time, effort, and passion.

An installer would be a very nice forward movement for the hobby. I would imagine the complexity of the install plus the additional work involved with gathering each piece needed to make cab install work is what keeps the faint of heart from ever trying out this awesome sim. Jmho.

There was one, let's see if I can dig it up...

Well I can't find it, a user had created a great self install utility.

There's also the guide created by gtxjoe which should eliminate any confusion http://www.vpforums....als&article=143

His tutorials are great, I'm just saying it shouldn't take a 15 video tutorial series to install VP.  Now some of those are beyond a "normal" install, but I would think a install package could be put together AND maintained that installed VP9.91, VP10, vpinmame, directx9 runtime and directB2Sserver in one simple install, that for most people would at least get them up and running quickly and easily.  It's not hard per se, just very tedious unnecessarily.
