With the latest beta I had unintended breakdowns with Champions League and Attack from Mars. The beta version before worked without any errors. After 10 Minutes of playing I observed random stutter. My cab runs in full screen mode.

We didn't change anything in the rendering engine or did massiv changes in the physics engine in the last versions. If there are slow downs then you should get them with older builds too.

Thanks. I restarted the whole system and it now seems to work. I restarted several times only vpinball, but the system restart did the job.

I don't know, if there is a posting; I can't find it.
In the cameramode, I don't see the values, because they are to small.
Can I change the font and make it bigger and is it possible to rotate the settings?

For me, if I switch off 4x AA then the font is bigger, so more readable.

Yes, you're right. With my new PC I change the settings to best quality. But I never thought that this change the size of the font.

I deselect and the font is big again.

But why does the size change when the resolution of the monitor remains the same?

It's the filtering that looks like it would reduce the size

rev3089 (release candidate) is up:

- remove SpeedFactor from the flippers as this must be investigated further

It turns out that the SpeedFactor hack had too much side effects so this is moved to the next version (10.4)

It already seems right anyway What could possibly effect the speed of a solenoid other than the power?

In baseball a bunt is the easiest contact, but you would not expect a home run doing it. Neither would you expect a solid contact with a good swing to gently drop in front of the plate.

Maybe in the future a solenoid should be a object, instead of a calculation. And a number of the solenoids available.

The last thing we need is the same kind of disconnect in any element that you stuck desktop users with with the nudge and visual feedback of it.

I have a DT user question:

Would it be possible to make the B2SBackglass appear in fullscreen "behind" the table ?

No that's not possible. Especially if you are in exclusive mode. B2S and VP are two different programs with their own access to the frame buffer.

Thanks for your fast reply

Otherwise, is there an easy way to have lights on the backdrop like on the backglass in DT mode ?

It seems to me that MFuegemann did it on some of his VP9 tables

You can use flashers on the backdrop like the score segmented displays

Thanks again

I see, like on the Bar-B-Q of the table "Elvira and the party monsters"

So, we have to link these flashers to the script ?

What kind of improvements do you mean? Win32++ is a template lib that is compiled into VPX

OK, thought it was something like

Net-frame or Python that needs to

be installed. So i'm fine and happy,

thank you!

And here something loosely related.. A more-up-to-date-build of VP99X-PM5.. (cooped with DJRobX)

- backport plunger/accel/nudge changes from main VP

- minor fixes and backports from main VP
 - fix UI issue with the layer buttons for high desktop resolutions
 - disable visual touch/pen feedback to save one frame of input latency/lag
 - fix timers that dis/enable themselves in the script
 - fix EMReel crash when image is missing and reel value is nonzero
 - extend right click behavior for multi-select to hidden items
 - fixed rendering of overlapping balls
 - include optional nudge filtering (selectable in the keys dialog)
and remove implicit dead zone handling (if you have the dead zone setting at 0% and now experience problems, set it to at least 1%)
 - native support for the Pinscape Controller
 - CPU affinity setting

Please test, as i want to include that into the installer..

For the few tables I had time to try. Batman Dark Knight, you plunge and the ball is lost.

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

For that table there seems to be some precision issue with my compile, compared to the 'historic' PM5 compile.

But the rest worked fine for me.

Anybody else care to test, please?!

@Thalamus, @Toxie: All tables except Batman DK seem to work, but the issue with Batman DK can be easily corrected:

  • Select element "plunger"
  • Under "options"/"state" check "enable mechanical plunger"
  • Resave table
