Sorry for my curiosity, you know when it's going to be ready?

Please read this thread, Flupper has stated many times there is no release date he is aiming for. We are very lucky to have guys like this spending literally hundreds of hours making something that we all enjoy and not expecting anything in return.

It really does take hundreds of hours. There are some very talented people in this hobby.

Sorry for my curiosity, you know when it's going to be ready?

As others have said, this table building takes a lot of work and especially this table. Reasons why I cannot give a date:
- I do this mainly in the evenings, when time/family/friends/work permits; there are weeks I have little time
- you might have noticed that when I think I can do better, I will try. This usually takes extra long, I almost never get something right in one go. This applies for everything (graphics, physics, sounds, script, etc); but my main area is graphics of course.
- I love exploring new possibilities; that’s why there now are new flasher dome images and a big lense flare with it. I could have used those from Diner. But when building Diner I could have used other people’s flasher domes... this way of working takes a lot of time as well. And I made tutorials for some of these.
- I help other people when asked. During the wh2o build, I have worked on many tables from others. I only work on one table of my own though. When helping, I finish that first, before going back to wh2o. And the three ‘rules’ above apply.
- for me this partly is about the journey, not the end goal. For you it might be, but I like a full illusion; for that I need to be statisfied about everything on a table. Once I have made something the way I like it (let’s say the ramps on CFTBL), something other to improve is suddenly staring me in the face (the ramps did not react to the default lighting, that really bothered me, so I fixed that with a new trick: indirect ramp lighting).

What I will do, is release this without a lot of options or addons. This so I can get feedback and work on extras, while everybody can play with it. This table has many mods, so I could go on forever implementing them. Back to when? I really do not know...

Do what you need to do Flupper. I only pray that you from time to time do make a good backup on a different drive so that if the worst thing should happen ...

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

Your work is excellent and of very high standards. Thanks for all the help on other tables (like the fantastic CFTBL) and WW will probably be your best work yet and I don't care if it takes this long to develop something this special :)!

Talking about release date - I don't want to open this up again but what people try to find out is maybe a very rough tendency.

For me that would mean, are we talking about some more weeks, months, this year of even further out in the future?

I guess then everybody will accept such a statement and will not bother anymore.

flupper1 is a perfectionist. So it could take weeks, maybe months. :juggle:

It's ready, when it's ready. :db:

There are hundreds of other tables to play. :dblthumb:

Allright: the answer is ... yes (to the above question). I spent a lot of time to CFTBL and recently have been working on Safe cracker ramps. Yesterday I worked on WW as well, but I am sort of finished with the visuals, so no more screenshots for now.

Ok flupper1 - take your time. Thanks for wounderful CFTBL. We can play that inbetween.

I personally asume that for Whitewater you will need a couple of more months to go - which is ok for me.

Flupper,
Please take your time and thank you for everything you do for this community. Your willingness to help other builders while working on your own table is just awesome.

Flup... your answer is MUCH more graceful than mine would have been.... anyone asking when this will be done... please let us know when your table build will be done....  :diablo:

Did Michelangelo ever rush one of his creations :)? Perfection requires dedication/time and above all patience. Flupper1 is a great contributor to this community and a skillful artist when it comes to ramps and graphical details. I know it's hard for us as junkies to wait for something you know will be a pinball rush that will last for days but we just have to bite the straw here and wait for the magical moment the table is released :).

@Flupper1: go and do your magic my friend :). Can't wait to see what you have been up to with the whole Safecracker stuff. Still play the real one at least once a month and I think it's a classic masterpiece with a ton of amazing hardware and probably one of the heaviest cabinets around (also taking into account the relative size of this baby).
